"Joel." Caroline half called/ half whispered, walking into the auto garage he worked in. She had just gotten out of school and was still dressed in her Mystic Falls High cheerleading uniform. It was Friday, and every Friday during the last hour of the school day they had a giant pep rally to promote the games for the weekend. Though she wasn't supposed to, she often wore her uniform home and until the game those Friday nights. To her, it was pointless not to. She got off school by three and had to be back at the football field by five for practice and warm ups. Game time was always seven. As cheer captain, she had a lot of privileges. And she knew it. So why not take advantage? She kept her school life and her private life seperate. She was very careful at it. She had to be. In school, Caroline learned image was everything. Kids were cruel. She had to be cool. Had to wear the best clothes. Had to hang out with a specific group of people. Had to be accepted. Not herself. Or she would be subjected to social suicide which did not sound appealing to her. At all. Outside of school, she was leaned back, chill and loved to eat, smoke weed and hang out with her older boyfriend Joel. The sexy mechanic. Though he was much older than her, they got along amazingly. Her parents had leaved to accept their arrangement. Her mom was even okay with it. She was mature for her age and she loved him. So there she was, walking around the garage calling for him. Careful not to bump into anything with oil. Dodging tools and cars. Sneaking in case his boss was still there. She had parked her car across the street in the grocery store parking lot, like she always did. "Joel!"
