Hey UW students! Do you need a hand with a paper but don't know where to go? If you can find yourself up to the tutoring writing centre in Graham Hall, 3G10 & 3G11, our writing tutors are more than willing to sit down and help you with that ‘pesky’ writing assignment!
Find a friend, grab your assignment and pull out your smart device and follow this helpful “image guided tour” to find us in the writing centre. Think of it as an adventure and you are searching for a treasure chest at the end of a rainbow, and the writing centre is a room filled with the riches of opportunities!
Are you constantly getting turned around on campus while trying to find the tutoring writing centre? Getting lost is a thing of the past with these helpful photos!
1) Lets start at the bottom of the escalators in Centennial, outside of Security Services. Security Services is located in the main entrance of Centennial Hall. The main campus building behind Wesley/Sparling Hall.
2) Next, take the escalator to the second level in Centennial and proceed to the next escalator heading up!
3) Take the escalator up to the third floor in Centennial and turn left, move towards the Dean of Arts and Vice President academic office door, but don’t enter, unless you want to. (They are some friendly folks)!
4) Walk past the Dean of Arts and Vice President academic office door and turn left down the “Rainbow/colourful hallway”. There’s a sign hanging from the ceiling with two arrows directing you towards Graham Hall and the Duckworth Centre.
5) Walk down the hallway until you see an arch shaped door way, located on the left side of the hallway. Enter it! DO NOT go past the coca-cola machine, if you have found yourself on the skywalk, you've gone too far!
6) Head down the arch shaped hallway towards Graham Hall. You should see a hanging portrait on the right side of the doorway.
7) Enter the arch doorway and you have now successfully entered the Rhetoric, Writing and Communications department!
8) Proceed forward and in about 10-15 meters you will see the entrance to the writing lab on your left-hand side. The door is labelled 3G10. There will be a desk to your left, in which you can book appointments for tutoring sessions!
9) Hooray! You found the tutoring centre and writing lab!
10) Book appointments with our tutors for “one-on-one sessions,” or use the writing lab to book online appointments/ work on assignments!
If you are in need of a more accessible way to visit the centre! We’ve got you covered!
1) Take the elevator located in Ridell, just across from the Ridell cafeteria and diversity! It is a green coloured elevator door. Poke ‘up’ and enter the elevator.
2) Press third (3) floor and TADA! You're there! It’s that easy!
3) Take a right hand turn towards the end of the hallway and take your immediate left!
4) 3G10 is on your left. (second door on the left)
Please feel free to drop in for a visit, utilize the computer’s in the lab or make an appointment with a tutor. We look forward to seeing you and wish you all the best with your academic endeavours!
