...waddles in, drops a few sticker sheets and runs. emil DOES want to wish him a proper happy birthday but he's a little too nervous for proper interaction... so, hopefully the stickers are recognised as a birthday gift. maybe william can put a few stickers around his room, or on a rugby ball, or something...? either way, happy birthday king!!

William is about to greet Emil with a grin, but his expression falls into a sort of confused smile when the other escapes before he can so much as get a word in.

"...Thank- you?" he says to no one in particular."

The forward bends down to pick up the sheets he saw Emil leave behind, looking at them curiously. They are stickers he realizes and begins to wonder what he could use them for. Even though the patient ran away too quickly for William to say anything, he guesses that these were a birthday present for him- He wouldn't have guessed that Emil knew his birthday, but the gesture makes him beam. Maybe next time he'll stick around long enough for the forward to get a few words in.

Emil reminds Melly of herself in a sense, at least situation-wise.

Watching someone stuck in a relationship with a person who cannot love them as an equal… it hits a little too close to home for her. She knows what it’s like, trying to process that- and what it feels like to work through those emotions alone.

She quietly worries for him from a distance, tries her best to be kind and friendly to him when they get the chance to interact, and hopes that he can find himself a better situation now that he’s got some good friends to watch his back.

After all, doesn’t everyone deserve a chance to be their own person?

'Emil is always trying his best- I mean he might not look like it if you don't pay attention or know what to look for but that doesn't mean he's just fooling around. You'll know though if you've been there yourself or are close to someone who was.'

'He makes me wanna cheer him on but since he's the type to shut others out easily I can see how my personality can be a bit of a- clash. I'm real proud of his progress in the games though! He's one of the newer survivors but he's already become an integral part of the rescue rotation- Heh, actually I might even say he's got me beat at my own game. But you don't see him getting cheeky over it and I can respect that.'
