The Daily Fix: Moving Violations
As indicated by the poster above, this gem was brought to you by the guys that did "Police Academy", so already you're probably gonna have some expectations. Suffice it to say, it's a ridiculous movie with tons of sight gags in the vein of ZAZ (Zucker, Abrahams, Zucker) which should come as no surprise seeing as Pat Proft wrote an episode or two of "Police Squad" and a few of the DTV spoof that littered the mid 90's which kept starring the late Leslie Neilson. It's a pretty good flick if you're really baked and can't seem to get to sleep.
The first thing you might notice is the substitute Bill Murray played by none other than the lesser known Murray brother, John, who doesn't do a bad job, he just borrows alot from his older brother. Jennifer Tilly is also here playing against type as she's the rocket scientist love (!!?) interest to John Murray's character. The rest of the cast if filled with a who's who of 80's b-movie staples, none of which you'll remember by name, but once you see them on screen you'll be attacked by the "hey...I remember that guy...." bug.
Like I said before, its a fun flick good for late light laughs, but if you want the real deal Murray, stick with Stripes or Ghostbusters.
