Some more True Crime Podcasts that I strongly recommend:
Southern Fried True Crime: Erica Kelly is the host of this one and she is sassy and perfect. No banter. She's straight to the point and she has the voice of an angel. Super soothing, oddly comforting.
True Crime Obsessed: Hosted by Patrick Hinds and Gillian Pensavalle. They are fucking HILARIOUS!!! They watch documentaries and retell the stories, with an emense amount of humor. If you're a person where loud laughing pretty much constantly bothers you, this isn't for you girl.
Small Town Murder: Another Comedy/TC pod. Hosted by James Pietragallo and Jimmie Whisman. They have kind of a dry humor, but I find them hilarious. I also really like their voices. They also give a lot of statistics about the town the murder was committed in so that's pretty interesting.
Morbid: Last but certainly not least..these girls are my absolute favorite. Hosted by Ash and Alaina (can't remember last names). They are also fucking hilarious. Very well researched and so many details, more than any other pod I've listened to. You will be laughing your ass off while simultaneously being horrified. Have fun.

Horror for laughs.....respectfully
PODCAST TIME!!
We're back for round 2 of my favorite true crime podcast. it's a short list this because well.....it's only two podcast. So as for the past two weeks I've put aside my regular podcast listens to binge listen to my new two favorite true crime/comedy podcast. True crime & comedy together will make a normal person cringe but you’re reading & I’m writing this so...🙂
I’m OBSESSED with Obsessed! Obsessed Network was founded by Patrick Hinds, host of both podcast. The network host a number of different true crime podcast you can check out but these are the main two that people recognize. ‘True Crime Obsessed’ is hosted by Patrick Hinds & Gillian Pensavalle, while ‘Obsessed With Disappeared’ is hosted by, again Patrick Hinds & the loudest women you’ll ever hear, Ellyn Marsh. She’s great!
These three have created a unique dialogue that many can relate too. The way we speak about true crime with other true crime enthusiasts is not always In a serious tone. For me, I find both podcast very comforting & familiar while some may find it crude. For those who are on the rocks, Maura Murray’s sister was interviewed by Patrick last year in January. She signed off on the podcast & says she understands what they are doing & is totally comfortable with it. Of course she’s not speaking for all, mostly the episode covering her sisters disappearance which is still haunting to many worldwide.
Please enjoy & listen! If you already do, you’re great, amazing, & I love you!

what’s his name, man?
And 11 years later, Patrick Hinds would also interview Lin about the genesis of In the Heights, and much more, for the Theater People Podcast (including a lot about how Heights changed after the first interview). Listening highly recommended!
Today (1/28/2017) we went to the Being Out on Broadway Panel with Beth Malone, Lisa Kron, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Robin de Jesus, and Nathan Lee Graham. Patrick Hinds moderated.
As a queer woman, this panel was so emotional for me and I think for a lot of us in the room. The panel was a perfect combination of people. They talked about art and choices to be out, but also about fear and anger in the current political climate and how we're all engaging with the world right now.
Many of us ended up in tears during this show and there were a lot of laughs and a lot of serious moments. I hope everyone enjoys this and just knows how happy and proud and filled up I felt (and others felt) being in that room.
Please excuse any talking, laughing, or crying!
