PAGE 31-Hello! I am so glad we are on to these pages, the whole thing really starts picking up steam and I am verruh happy to get you into more action!
The Gretchen and I are saving up some extra fund for our second trip to Iceland in October and that means fewer trips to the movie theater. Which is sad, but kinda ok too. The stuff that is out is all stuff I feel like I should be excited about but ....I’m not really. So I can let that stuff wait. I am reading a little more, I just finished ‘The Chessmen of Doom’ by John Bellairs and am in the middle of ‘Uzumaki’ by Junji Ito, both of which I am thoroughly enjoying. I also have a book called ‘The Consciousness Instinct’ coming through the library that I am really pumped about.
Oh, we did watch ‘Swing Time’ as part of our watch-along with the Unspooled podcast. It....does not belong on the greatest films of all time list. We haven’t listened to the episode yet (which puts us 2 behind, but eh, we’ll get there) but I can’t imagine Paul and Amy are gonna pull out some wisdom and insight that is going to make this movie better. Not that I wouldn’t recommend, it was the first Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers flick I’d ever seen and that at least is a worthwhile thing.
I listened to tons of music this week, so I expect next week will be a big podcast one. Anyways, have a great Sunday, listen to something uncomfortable, watch something new, read something unexpected!
