It has been a long time since I’ve posted anything on this tag. But I just watched episode three of season six. And Patrick Nash, the man you are. He sent half of London (and Moses) on a wild goose chase after a diamond that was never actually there. All of that just for him to go to Southampton to see Eliza.

Poor Clarence probably has to deal with long-term consequences (like not knowing where half of his things are anymore), Moses has missed some very important quality time with his wife, and Alexander now has a complex about Patrick and Eliza’s relationship (considering she lied for him, even though she would probably do that for other people too ngl).

Thoroughly enjoyable episode overall, and I can’t wait to see him back on screen next season :)

Prison Survival Kit (front row, left to right): 1. A mirror. Cannot be seen in Newgate looking less than my best... especially if a certain lady detective turns up! 2. Whiskey. Asked for Macallan, got the knockoff, Loch McKellan. Not as potent as the homemade stuff, but it does the trick. 3. Tobacco and rolling papers. I don't smoke, but it is a rather useful bartering tool. 4. A soft bristle brush. Might work on getting the old curl back if Fulton can procure some pomade!

Prison Survival Kit (back row): 5. Standard deck of playing cards. For whenever Eliza arrives in need of cheering up, or failing that, there's always the rather odd fellow on D Block. Need to work on my ace-up-the-sleeve trick, though!

I loved ep 6.3. Why? Because Patrick and Eliza were the stars of the show! A whole episode based on Patrick! Ok, so it would have been even better if he actually appeared, but here’s some new Scarnash cannon we DID get:

1. Patrick’s new “girlfriend” Florence shows her jealousy of Eliza by asking Moses the status of Patrick and Eliza’s relationship since Patrick continuously speaks so highly of the lady detective (he goes on and on about how clever she is). Florence also asks Moses if Eliza is beautiful. Florence knows she’s second fiddle to Eliza in Patrick’s eyes. She seems relieved to hear Eliza and Patrick are “just friends,” but did Florence REALLY believe that? We don’t! And I detected a hidden hint of disbelief from Florence as well.

2. Patrick asked Eliza to meet with him, and she did. Discreetly. While lying to her Inspector “boyfriend” about it. This makes me giddy! You go girl!

3. Inspector “boyfriend” was clearly upset by this. Eliza’s excuse of “client confidentiality” doesn’t work for him. And rightly it shouldn’t.

4. Patrick didn’t trust Florence with the diamond. He worked behind her back and gave the diamond to Eliza for safe keeping.

5. The fact that the writers don’t want us to forget about Patrick gives me hope he will truly reappear again one day, just like they brought Moses back.
