Ambrose after Patrick kisses him back (his head is currently bleeding heavily after falling down a flight of stairs)
I'm my book "This is Achillean" I wanted to make sure that the main characters are very flawed, but you still want to root for them.
For example, Patrick is Entitled and Snobbish. This makes sense as he comes from money and fame. However, he is still nice to others and is a good boyfriend to Ambrose. Balancing out his flaws.
Ambrose on the other hand is nice, talented and has humility. However, he can be a little insensitive by always cracking jokes, he uses his immense power to get what he wants, and has bad anger issues (which will be explored in later chapters).
This applies to secondary characters to a lesser degree, such as Dimitri and Shinsuke.
A MODERN ADAPTATION OF THE ILLIAD!
READ "THIS IS ACHILLEAN" ON WATTPAD NOW!
Just a reminder that even though Dimitri and Patrick are fluent in English, they are still from Estonia and Latvia respectively, and have thick accents from those countries. Shinsuke has a thick Japanese accent, and is only semi-fluent, as he has had less time abroad than the others.
Ambrose: Would you love me if I was a worm?
Patrick: Nope. Worms are fucking gross, lol
Ambrose after a bomb went off 3km away. (He should if expected this, he's in a warzone)
"This is Achillean"s Main character, Patrick, is what I expect from queer characters. his identity as a Trans man is validated. Him being Trans is important to the plot without it BEING the plot.
And (I can't stress this enough)
He's allowed to be multi-dimensional and be all around kind of a bad person anyway. (If Trans characters are all perfect and nice, that isn't representation. That's patronising)
