It's So Cliché
But it's because of today that I am doing what I'm doing with my life. I want to protect and preserve the freedom of this nation and of those I love. Seeing the flags wave at half-mast today hurt my heart and made me proud of the profession I've chosen for my life. It makes me so angry to think of those who were killed innocently, for a cause they knew nothing about. I sincerely hope that an event like this never happens again in my lifetime, and I will spend my life working to do just that.
And to those who think we should "move on" because it's been eleven years, fuck you. Why don't you go tell that to the thousands of people who lost their husbands, sons, and daughters to this day.
Life goes on. But we should Never Forget.
