WIP Patroclos x Achilles passionate night
Full Version
I'm spiralling over the greek gays from over 3000 years ago again. Damn!
Achilles and Patroclos
Print available
I'm going to say it, honestly I never felt sorry for patroclos, his was a dumb move, no shit he died
Heartbreaking stuff from the Iliad
The absolute pain everyone is in
After they hear about Patroclos death
All the heroes and famous greek men
And how hard they fight to bring back his body to Achilles
The love and friendship the Achaeans feel for this man
It's astounding
It makes me feel like crying
What had Deidameia thought would happen, I wondered, when she had her women dance for me? Had she really thought I would not know him? I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.
The Song of Achilles, Patroclus
Achilles and Patroclos
"In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk. Their hands meet, and light spills in a flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun."
(by Madeline Miller, The Song of Achilles)
AUTHOR'S NOTES: For the furnishings behind the two heroes of the Iliad I added some vases taken from the slides of one of my Archeology exams in Aegean civilization. I loved studying the details, the shape of Achilles' sword and the variety of shields.
i saw a video on yt where this person said that silena and clarisse have a direct parallel to patroclos and achilles and i haven't stop thinking about it ever since
