Art Your Way! at Hudson Library
Every Wednesday morning from 10:00am-1:00pm come join an open community studio art session led by a group of local artists. Most sessions will feature a live model and attendees may work with any medium. Tables are provided and a small fee is required to pay models.

Hey everyone! If you have any 3rd - 5th graders, there is a fun, educational and healthy program taking place on Monday, June 27th! It's at Marianna Black Library at 11:00 A.M! Summer's almost over! Come join the fun while you can! The program is called "Go! Slow! Whoa!" It's presented by Dee Decker with The Swain County Cooperative Extension!
The Jackson County Public Library in Sylva is hosting a screening of the documentary The Sad & Beautiful World of Sparklehorse at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 28th, in the Community Room. There will be a Q&A after the feature led by Angela Faye Martin who wrote the movie. This program is free of charge.
The film is about Mark Linkous, singer-songwriter and founder of the alternative rock band Sparklehorse. A cult and hugely influential figure in the alternative music scene, the critically-acclaimed Linkous had a dramatic life that saw him battle with drug and alcohol addiction, paralysis, and debilitating depression that resulted in his eventual suicide.
