I thing that all the voting bias come from demographic. I think that most of the SYTYCD audience are teenage girls, it's obvious that they will find someone like Amy more relatable than Jasmine. It's age thing I also don't think that Will is good example, because people who stayed were two black guys and and Asian. Non of them were contemporary. I see much more bias in producers work, not even judges. You can say a lot about Nigel, but I don't remember Mary saying something wildly inappropriate.

There are plenty of factors that go into the voting bias, definitely. I do think Will can still count since the two black guys that made it over him were hip-hop dancers, one of which wasn't remotely as versatile as Will was. (I love you tWitch, but you have definitely grown a lot since season 4.) But like i said, always exceptions. Season 8 had a finale with two Asian guys, a black girl, and a white chick. Of course the white girl won, but Dominic pointed out in an interview (only half joking, I think) that usually you only see a finale like that on ABDC or something. Sabra and Danny were the final two in season 3 over Lacey and Neil. It all depends on judge pimping, stories, and what story the producers want to prevail that season, i guess.
