Hey, I'm a Twilight fan, and I love the cast and all, but your blog seems amazing. I've never heard about the "dream team" in my life, what is it?? I mean, who are Emily and Gaspard, and where are they from (books, whom's imagination and that) I'd like you to answer me on private, thank you!! :)

Just saying sorry because I’m going to post this publicly so I can reference it later when someone else has the same question!

Before the movies were cast (when people barely thought about movies to begin with, it wasn’t in production), the Twilight fandom came up with their own casting for the books. Emily Browning was Stephenie’s first Bella choice; Gaspard Ulliel the fandom came up with for Edward because he looked so mysterious and beautiful in a way that draws you in. They became the fandom’s most popular dream cast for Edward and Bella - and if you look at manips of them together, they have a certain chemistry and they go so well together. When Kristen and Robert were cast, Gaspard/Emily for E/B came to be known as “dream team” because they were the book fandom’s dream cast, you see? And this blog is dedicated to them/the fandom from before.

Before the movies and the media humiliating and never leaving Twilight alone, this fandom was very underground and intimate and had its own little world and everyone in it seemed to share that. Our worst moments were Edward vs Jacob fights, that’s all. We just miss that smaller, tight-knit fandom that wasn’t mocked 24/7 and that became a home away from home to a great deal of us.
