favorite thing about them:

I love that he’s so genuinely trying his best to be so happy and positive and to do his best. Plus his puns are the best, 10/10, love me a punny boy.

least favorite thing about them:

I would say the way he was so dismissive of Janus in the beginning and some of the times he would talk over Logan were just not cool.

unpopular opinion:

Stop! Writing! Patton! As! An! Idiot!!

Yeah he’s a little naive and isn’t super up to date, but he’s NOT stupid. He’s the wise to Logan’s intelligent. 

Where Logan is the one that says “tomatos are fruits”, Patton is the one that reminds you “but don’t put them in a fruit salad.”. Nothing hauls me out of fiction worse than when he’s written so blatantly stupid and dense. Not just like, mildly dumb, we’re talking full on no braincells and very ooc. 

There’s nothing wrong with writing him slightly different if its an au or for a specific setting but people writing him as just flat out uselessly stupid makes my brain hurt. Give the lad some credit!

Happily Ever After

Eeek I'm not good at writing but I like to do it anyway so I wrote a lil thing from @pattonpattoff 's Enchanted AU!! He is awesome and I love it and his art so, so much!

Now for cheese :D

There was a bit of movement. Virgil glanced up from where he sat, finding Roman in front of him. The prince knelt.

"Why so sad, stormcloud?" he asked softly. The tips of Virgil's lips quirked upwards, raising the small object in his hand. "He dropped his ring." Virgil said. He glanced down at it and huffed. "Figures."

Roman's eyebrows knit together. Gently, he took the ring from Virgil, glancing up at the man after examining it. "May I?" Roman asked.

Virgil's lips curled into a smile as he offered the prince his hand. Roman took it, slipping the ring onto Virgil's left ring finger.

To neither of their surprise, the ring slipped right on, hugging Virgil's finger comfortably. Roman huffed out a small breath.

"Its a perfect fit," said the prince.

Virgil glanced up to meet his stare. He was fully aware of his ear-to-ear smile, but it only grew when the sight of the prince beaming met him. Without warning, he grabbed Roman's hand, getting the two of them to their feet.

Then together, before anyone could see or say anything, they left.

Running through the streets of New York, hand-in-hand with a literal storybook prince was never something that crossed Virgil's mind. Yet as they pushed past crowds of people, even with the weird stares and glances they got thrown at them, Virgil laughed as Roman pulled him along.

They passed a sidewalk, stopping in front of a fairly large manhole. Roman released Virgil's hand, taking his spot on one side while Virgil stood across from him. Before they left, Virgil spared one last glance at his home. There was only a bit of hesitance, but then he looked back at Roman and it left as soon as it came.

Virgil reached across, grabbing both of Roman's hands in his. The prince grinned, and Virgil beamed. Taking a deep breath, and with Roman's help, he jumped.

Roman didn't exactly know how things ended up this way. He was simply supposed to retrieve Patton, slay the witch, get married and live happily ever after. But things technically didn't go to plan.

Standing at the alter, holding both his hands, Roman stared into Virgil's eyes. He wasn't Patton; that much was obvious as Patton's eyes were a bright shade of baby blue while Virgil's were a deep, somber shade of purple. He also wasn't a prince or a fairytale maiden. Far from it, actually. Yet none of that mattered when Virgil's lips curled into that beautiful, rare smile of his as the priest finished up. As cued, the songbirds flew between them and outward, creating a heart shape between them as soon as, "You may now kiss the groom," was declared, and the two men slowly leaned forward.

Just as their lips were about to touch, a loud ringing resounded through the large chapel. Roman's eyes snapped open as Virgil's hands left his.

"Oops!" Virgil said, his cheeks turning pink at the abrupt interruption. "I'm so sorry!" The prince watched as his almost-husband fished through his pocket, pulling out one of those black boxes he'd seen in the other world. Virgil pressed something and the ringing stopped.

"Wow," he mused, glancing back at Roman. "Really good reception here!"

With that, he tossed the small box behind him. It bounced on the steps and crashed onto the ground, scattering into pieces. All the animals crowded, peering at it curiously.

Roman watched, distracted and unaware as Virgil suddenly grabbed him. "Whoa!" he yelped, steadying himself as his groom dipped him, his arm securely around the prince's waist.

Virgil grinned down at him and Roman, all but forgetting the interruption, found himself grinning back and laughing. Cupping Virgil's face, the prince leaned forward and finally captured the man's lips, securing their union with a kiss.

There was an applause. As they separated, Roman found himself once again staring into Virgil's eyes. Maybe he was a little emotional and delusional but Roman was sure Virgil was glowing.

He was beautiful.

Unable to restrain himself, Roman reached over and kissed him again. He felt Virgil huff out a laugh against his lips before ultimately melting.

Oh yeah. Roman didn't really know how it turned out this way, but who cared? To him, it was a perfect ending.

DUDE i've been waching disney videos for DAYS now and your cast member au is just gonna get me sucked in again!!!! HOWEVER can you pls elaborate on virgil being in costuming i'm so curious about what he would get up to - pattonpattoff (tumblr won't let me send asks from my sideblog :(

i’ll @pattonpattoff just to make sure u don’t miss the answer!!i’m glad you’ve been disney binging hehe!! i miss it so much rn :/ 

so!! costuming!! basically, work uniforms at disney are called costumes because we’re all part of a show. and somebody has to make sure those clothes stay clean and presentable! they also help cast members find the pieces they’re looking for, make sure no one’s gone over the limit on checking things out, etc etc. it’s a backstage role (ie: not in front of guests) which is why i think virgil would prefer it because the less people interaction the better lol. obviously, this means they interact however with cast members from every department! so this is a really easy way (for me lol) for virgil to meet all the others! 

entertainment costuming is, from what i understand, a pretty different ballpark. as well as making sure everything looks perfect, they also help the CMs into their costumes (i mean, it can’t be easy working a fur character shift, and having one paw on and trying to get the other on by yourself, right?). i don’t know if entertainment costuming is something a costuming cast member can cross-train to or if it’s a separate department/part of entertainment. 

so yeah, virgil in costuming! i lowkey like the idea of him and roman meeting for the first time because roman dinged and has to explain why he has so many extra pieces checked out and “you need to return these before we freeze your account.” cue roman’s pout and trying to charm his way out of it. that doesn’t go over very well, of course lol
