AA and RAC fight for Beckham’s signature.
Hunt for flaw still proving fruitless
Decorated footballer, devoted husband, loving father, England ambassador, part time beard wearer and now breakdown recovery man. David Beckham once again underlined his quest for immortality this week by not thinking twice about laying his hands on a Nissan Primera, by assisting motorist Paul Long and his two children, Josephine and Fabian.
“I work from home as a photographer so I take the kids to school. I was on my way to the school when the car packed up in the middle of a very busy roundabout in Hertfordshire, not far from the A10. I had two kids in the back. Some people were getting a bit angry, but no-one stopped [to help] for ten minutes. Then this car pulled over in lay-by and I saw this figure wearing a hoodie step out. As he came nearer, it became clear it was David Beckham.”
After David helped push the car to safety, Paul’s bottom lip began to quiver before letting slip:
“Thanks David – I love you.”
C’mon Paul, let’s hug it out.
