I don't ever talk about my work life online, as I like to keep my private life and work life completely separate, but today I'll make a slight exception. On Thursday, when I was working, a man came into my store and asked where he could find "poison that will kill cats and leave the plants alone". Naturally, we thought he was just making a poor-taste joke until he launched into a rant about how horrible cats are! Needless to say we don't sell "cat poison", being as thats illegal, and we weren't going to help him poison neighbourhood cats that get into his garden. We did suggest humane detterents but he left after making a comment about just using his staple gun.
Now, there's no way of knowing if he is really serious about following through with his plans, but I was very worried, so I put up a bit on Facebook, which has been passed around, and also passed on information onto the RSPCA. If you, or someone you know owns cats and lives in the Paulsgrove are, Hampshire (yes he told us he lived there), do please look out for your kitties. You read horrible stories in the papers all too often of some sicko lacing catfood with antifreeze, and I dread to think what this awful man may try and do.
