“I’ve never met a shifter that can turn into animals before—but you don’t smell like a shifter.” Vanya’s good eye is wide with wonder. It’s a total surprise, to be able to meet another creature so similar yet so different. “What are you, exactly? And I of course am willing to share in what I am if you do not already know.” They’re speaking quickly, hoping that their forwardness won’t scare the other off. “I’m Vanya.” They add last, hoping at least some politeness will make this less awkward.
