Noche Buena Shopping Made Easy With PayMaya and Robinsons Supermarket
There’s less than one week to go before Christmas so I’m making sure that I have everything ready and prepared for our family’s Noche Buena festivities. 2018 has been such an eventful year for me and I personally have so much blessings to be thankful for, including my successful Total Hip Replacement surgery last August. With so many events and activities happening in December, shopping at the grocery can sometimes get so tedious, especially when you don’t have enough cash in your bag or you forgot to bring your credit cards. The lines at the ATM can be extremely long! Thankfully, PayMaya is just the partner I need to make cashless shopping so easy and effortless.
I want to make our Noche Buena extra special this year, so I’m thinking of cooking a classic Filipino Christmas dish for the family. My specialties inside the kitchen include the KATdereta and the KATbonara, but this time I will also be preparing something I have not done before but is always a great centerpiece during the festive season, the Paella. So with my grocery list on one hand and the PayMaya app on my mobile phone on the other, I visited Robinsons Supermarket in Robinsons Magnolia last weekend and had everything I needed to complete my Noche Buena shopping.
PayMaya is a FREE mobile app that makes everything more convenient. You can use it shop online, pay your bills, book flights, send remittances, buy mobile load, and enjoy cashless shopping in leading departments stores and supermarkets nationwide. Bringing lots of cash with you is always a bit risky and it’s not always easy to keep track of your spending. Credit cards are a good alternative, but it is also difficult to remember all the bills and due dates so you end up missing deadlines and end up having to pay enormous late charges.
PayMaya takes care of all these problems because it is a secure and easy-to-use mobile app that stores all your funds and lets you use it to purchase online and at participating retail stores conveniently.
Getting the PayMaya app on your mobile devices is easy, fast, and absolutely FREE. First, download the PayMaya app on the App Store for iOS or on Google Play for Android devices.
Next, create your PayMaya account using your mobile number. Anyone with a Philippine mobile number can register. Simply enter your personal details and choose your desired password to complete the registration. You can now add money and funds to your PayMaya account at over 20,000 partners nationwide including 7-Eleven outlets, Robinsons Department Stores, SM Business Centers, Touchpay Kiosks, and more. There are also ways to fund the account using your online banking channels, which is what I normally use for my PayMaya account. Using my same mobile device, I can transfer funds from my BDO account to my PayMaya account any time, which makes this the most convenient and hassle-free way to do my shopping. No more waiting in line at the ATM!
PayMaya is a subsidiary of Smart Communications and PLDT and is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, so you can rest assured that your money will be safe and secure. You can also send money to other PayMaya users without any fees whatsoever, so this is also a good alternative for family members. There is also an option to get a physical Paymaya card which can be linked to your account and used like an ATM and a credit card, so you can withdraw funds from any Bancnet ATM or swipe it wherever credit cards are accepted locally and internationally.
With my PayMaya app, I can now start shopping at Robinsons Supermarket without having to worry about anything else. Robinsons Supermarket carries a complete selection of fresh, local and imported items at very competitive prices, so I’m sure that I can get everything on my grocery list all in one place.
The main ingredient in a paella is rice, so I looked for a high-quality long grain rice that will surely absorb all those flavors and juices. This should be enough to last until Media Noche.
The fresh seafood station is where I will find the other ingredients I need for my Filipino-style paella. These large Suahe will be perfect to top on the paella rice.
Let’s add a few Pacific Bay Mussels to liven up the seafood party. I’m definitely a meat-lover as well, so I’m going to include Magnolia Chicken cuts which are even on a promotional discount.
Robinsons Supermarket also has a wide selection of cured meats so it was easy to find some Chorizo to mix together with all the other paella ingredients. I also needed to get some spices and seasoning to make my paella truly worthy for Noche Buena, so fortunately, I found everything I needed easily on the supermarket shelves.
Here’s my shopping cart! I added a few more items to my grocery list for my Katdereta so it will really be a bountiful and blessed Noche Buena feast. Now it’s time to pay at the cashier.
Robinsons Supermarket lets its customers enjoy the convenience of cashless shopping with the PayMaya app. You can use PayMaya to pay for your groceries at any of its counters. Let me show you how I do it.
Just look for the PayMaya QR Code at the counter which means that PayMaya will be accepted as a payment option. Bring out your mobile device and open the app. Of course, make sure you have an internet connection. Simply press the SCAN tab on the top of the screen and align it with the merchant’s QR Code.
The screen will automatically show the merchant’s account details, so just enter the amount to be paid and press continue to send your payment directly to their PayMaya wallet.
That’s it! Using PayMaya is even faster than paying with a credit card or with cash. All your transactions are recorded on the app so you can keep track of your purchases and expenses properly. Your remaining balance is also updated in real time so you can always maintain your budget.
As a bonus, Christmas shoppers can also get up to P1,500 in cashback when they #ShopPaMore with PayMaya! From now until December 31, just use the PayMaya QR for a minimum spend of P100 when you shop in-store at partner establishments (visit pymy.co/QRmerchants to view the full list of PayMaya QR-enabled merchants) and you can get as much as 100% cashback on your purchases. The cashback amount will be generated randomly and can range from 1%, 10%, or 100% of the total amount purchased, up to a maximum of P1,000 for every QR transaction and a cumulative total of P1,500 per account for the entire promo period. You can also get a chance to win P10,000 everyday for the entire month of December, as well as P10 Million in the grand draw of the “PayMaya Pa More!” raffle promo.
Shopping has never been this simple now that I have the PayMaya app on my phone. If you want to know more about this very useful and handy application, just head over to www.paymaya.com and start on your cashless adventure. You can also visit www.paymaya.com/promos to know more about all their ongoing promotions. Now it’s time to start cooking. Happy holidays!
