I didn't post this last night because I was upset and didn't want to post while in that headspace but last night I was kicked out of @pbfsoutofcontext and the mods are being dishonest about why.

This is gonna be pretty long so tl;dr I was kicked for calling out a republican who had been making people uncomfortable for a while. The whole story with screenshots will be under the cut.

Before this whole thing there had been a few times (literally like 2-3 times) where I was somewhat openly annoyed at the mods for randomly asking people to move convos or shutting things down. Every time this happened there were a couple of other people agreeing with me. The issue is the mods admitted themselves that they don't like confrontation (don't be a mod tbh) and so they took these criticisms as personal attacks despite the fact that I clarified at the time that I didn't mean it like that.

That's not why I was kicked tho.

It started when talking about the election one member said something along the lines of "if y'all knew my political beliefs you would hate me so I keep it vague." Clearly that means they have some wack beliefs so I said something along the lines of "well that automatically makes me distrust you" (sorry for the paraphrasing I don't have screenshots of this part). The mods pretty quickly told us to move it to DMs so I did and that's when the member told me they were a registered republican who was anti gun control and pro national security

I privately told a few of my friends about this and they agreed that having someone like that made the server feel unsafe. This member had also done some other things to make people uncomfortable such as being horny in the general chat, putting themselves into the "mom friend" position without being asked, and implying that only pan people can be attracted to non-binary people. So then this happened

The conversation was almost instantly shut down so me and a few other people messaged the mods directly saying that since there are rules so that people like that aren't in the server they should be kicked. I was FAR from the only person uncomfortable with this. That's when the mods hid the entire channel where this started and so a lot of us were suspicious that that meant they wouldn't do anything and/or just cover it up and surprise surprise.

A few hours had past with multiple mods knowing the situation and being active but that member was still there so I messaged the mod again here is that full conversation.

It took a little longer but then I saw they kicked the Republican so I thought maybe I was wrong but then I was kicked too. Someone asked why I left and the mods said I was continuously belligerent and disrespectful towards them but there are people who can back me up when I say that wasn't the case.

You can believe me or not or still think I'm the bad guy after all this I just wanted to say my side.
