PC THEME REVAMP
Hey loves, I cleaned up my PC theme and it looks extra crispy. These are just screenshots from my phone but I’m sure it’ll look nicer on your PC or tablet.
The main reason I wanted to redo my theme was because I felt my previous organizational method was a little messy, so now tabs are arranged according to function/subject as opposed to author. The LEARN BANGLA tab has all the posts I’ve written for Bangla as well as posts I’ve reblogged from others, and the drop-down is organized by purpose (vocab lists, grammar, using Bangla in conversation, etc.). The RESOURCES tab has all of the Bangla/language resources I use, have created, or have found and they are organized in the drop-down by media type (online resources, papers/books, other media, etc.) and also include general Langblr resources. I’ll refine this over time, I’m sure, but I hope it’s easier to navigate. The archive is easily accessible if you really can’t find anything.
If, at any time, you’d like to access the PC theme on your mobile device to utilize these menus, you can click the WORD OF THE DAY link in my mobile theme and it’ll redirect you to the Word of the Day section of the PC theme. From there you can use the menu in the upper right hand corner to navigate.
I hope y’all like the change --I spent forever on it!
ALSO,
this blog has around 570 followers now, which means our little community here has almost doubled from last month! I’m so grateful to everyone who has stopped by, and I’m especially thankful to those of you who regularly like/reblog my posts --you provide motivation for me to keep posting and studying. I’d also like to give a special shout out to @ohshelearns for consistently checking my posts for errors and volunteering her knowledge (which I wouldn’t doubt might try her patience sometimes); I owe much of this blog’s integrity to her corrections and to her passion for teaching the language she loves. You’ll notice that many of the Bangla lessons I reblog are also created by her. She’s a hugely important contributor to this otherwise quiet corner of Langblr (thank you, Atika --you’re the best!) ^.^
I love you guys, and thank you so much for your support!

BENGALI BLOG REDESIGN
Hey cuties,
Just dropping in to let everyone know that I’ve redesigned both my mobile theme and my PC theme. The link to my PC theme is right here. If you have access to the PC page, you’ll find that I’ve included several tabs so you can access materials I’ve posted on my blog.
“WORD OF THE DAY” will have the week’s daily words posted, as well as links to the master posts for previous weeks. This is to help you catch up if you’ve missed a day, or if you’re new to the blog and want to see past words I’ve posted! I try to update it daily as I introduce each new word, but sometimes I’m slow because of work. I’m usually not more than a day late though.
“LESSONS” has all of my instructive original posts, from the Bengali alphabet to Bengali grammar to vocab lists. This tab will grow over time as I learn more things and post more lessons.
“RESOURCES” has a variety of different materials you can use to study Bangla, such as websites, blogs, apps, books, and movies. This tab will also grow as I discover more useful Bangla learning tools.
“ABOUT” is just my basic bio, if anyone cares.
And finally, my ask box is available under the “ASK RACHEL” tab.
I hope this helps make information more accessible and I hope you enjoy the new look! Feel free to drop by my ask box for any reason --suggestions, word requests (keep it simple for now, I’m still pretty brand new), film/book/music recommendations, language learning recommendations, questions, etc.-- I’d love to hear from you guys!
