wow ok I was at the convention for 12 hours today and it was really great. I got there around 9:45 and went straight to help with the Who Is The Weakest Link panel which was a lot of fun! It was a good warm up to being a panelist since I didn’t have to do very much at all. Very entertaining, too! I had fun at the end messing with the dalek and having tons of people take photos.
Afterwards not many people I knew were there yet so I kind of just wandered around and meandered between friends for a while, not really doing anything. I still got stopped for a lot of photos though.
Then around 12:30 a lot more of my friends started to show up and I was reuinted with my Jack Harkness and Tenth Doctor and Ianto and many more lovely people who I love :)
At about 1:15 we all converged on the AZTARDIS booth in the back of the vendor hall and I started my usual gathering, essentially just getting as many people into a group photo as possible and it grew and grew and grew. It wasn’t nearly as big as last year because last year we were in a more open space, so more people could see, but it was still pretty darn successful. My friend Almost Focused showed up as well and got a few really cool group shots in front of the TARDIS!
Then it was time for lunch. Having already been at the con for 6 hours, I got a salad and then just relaxed a bit with all my panelist friends before the SuperWhoLock panel. People were in my panel before we even got in there!!!
SuperWhoLock was an INCREDIBLE success. The 400+ 500 seater room was filled to the brim and people were standing in the back, and my cast was just beyond phenomenal. For people who had never acted or even done a panel, everyone got the crowd roaring with laughter and I’m so proud of everyone and we all had a fantastic amazing wonderful time. I can’t wait to get the video and post it! Oh, and of course many tumblr friends were made. The best part was the Lucifer that we got? Yeah we met her about 3 hours before the panel and just randomly pulled her up to the front for it. Kind of the same with Irene Adler but I knew her before hand XD It was just incredible.
Then I had to run down to the vendor hall to meet JOHN FREAKING BARROWMAN. I had people holding my place in line so it didn’t take long but seriously omg that was an incredible 30 seconds he was just amazing I can’t even believe that was actually him. I had my Rose Tyler gun with me and like he wAS HELpilngME hold IT AND had hIS arMS AROUND M?!?E?! it was sajflsjfsldkjflsdk;fjakls;gjhdlhjg;kglkdvdfjis i have to pick up my photo tomorrow somehow I completely forgot to get it.
After all the hype I went to dinner with Almost Focused and a whole bunch of friends and we ate a ton of pizza and gave the pieces we didn’t eat away to random people going by on the street. It was delicious and I felt so much better.
For the next 2 hours or so we had a Doctor Who/Torchwood photoshoot and it was really amazing and seriously these photos look BEYOND incredible and I cannot wait to post them and show all you guys they’re just really awesome.
I had to leave around 9:30 cuz I was just way too tired and now I’m home and I’m going to shower and hit the hay because CASTIEL TOMORROW SATURDAY.
