"Don't go where I can't follow."
SEND FOR RIPLEY’S REACTION: @pcdawan.
‘don’t ——–’ she whispered as quickly as he had. dry words from a raspy voice rolling off her tongue almost instantly. she had seen it coming, would have been thoroughly disappointed if he had not. he’s too good of a man. dark eyes just flickered away, strapping the last of her weapons on her body. she could feel him watching. she wasn’t quite sure if she was annoyed or it was working. there was a vein pounding in her forehead, her jaw was locked. she should have been nothing to this universe, just learning what the force is, the way of this whole universe. she was alien, nothing (or at least she’s trying to tell herself that). even in her mind’s eye she could see his own soft eyes and his strong, handsome features. he was a friend, a mentor, a leader and even she felt the compulsion to follow him. it was a new world, but not even that stopped her old world problems. ‘i already deactivated all the tracking devices on the ship. your life is here and i can’t have you following me. this is my path and i’m going to finish it, once and for all.’ & that was that because ripley’s mind can’t be changed once it was made up. in this world, in this new universe maybe she owes obi wan kenobi just about anything, she had previously been far too neutral, maybe easily persuaded to the dark side, but it was his side she fell beside. his friendship she embraced. she wouldn’t trade that for anything.
