Why and how she got separated ties into the next part, but a large reason for why SHE got separated comes back to her and the accidental catalyst of this whole event: Dustin.
The group is a little split on whether she is dead or not. The more practical thinkers definitely think so-and the reason why makes a little more sense in the next part. However, Steve and quite a few of the others don’t think so, which leads to a lot of arguments of course.
A lot of her survival has been due to brain power and the fact that they had all been attacked by the Upside Down for a long time before this. A lot of the game plan since the separation hasn’t been to kill the creatures, but to get away. She is fresh out of the means to actually kill them, which is how she ended up losing this fight.
I’m genuinely so excited for this, you have no idea! I’m still very new to putting actual words out and not just graphics, so it’s a little nerve wrecking, but I think doing it in a much smaller format gives a way better look into everything 😭😂
