Post-Con Musings
It’s always hard post-Con to go back to being a “normal” (what does that even mean?) person in the real world after being in a place where letting your nerd flag fly high was a badge of honor. Being part of the crowd and connecting with strangers waiting in lines whilst being able to make obscure references that they actually get.
You get home, and, what? You go back to hiding your passion? No. You continue to let your flag flutter in the breeze, but only a very few silently get what you’re saying.
In the words of John Barrowman, “Never apologize for being a nerd, because assholes don’t apologize for being assholes.”
