What is PCOD?
PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) is a medical condition in which the woman’s ovaries produce a large number of immature or partially mature eggs, which develop into cysts in the ovaries over time. PCOD can be managed through dietary and lifestyle changes.
Only a few researchers participated in the study of the prevalence of Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in various regions of India. According to the scant data available, PCOS prevalence in India ranges from 3.7 percent to 22.5 percent. It is difficult to define the prevalence of PCOS in India due to limited data and different regions.
What are the common symptoms and signs of PCOD?
Some women notice symptoms around the time of their first period, while others do not notice until they have gained a lot of weight or are having difficulty getting pregnant.
The following are the most common signs and symptoms of PCOD in females:

Causes of PCOD
There is no exact reason for PCOD but sickness is viewed as an imbalance in the venerable science of Ayurveda. PCOD is categorized as a Kapha condition in Ayurveda. The reproductive tissue in females is known as arthava dhatu, and the channel that transports the ovarian fluid is known as artavavaha srota.

Complications with PCOD

Treatments for PCOD
There is currently no known treatment for PCOD but Ayurvedic treatment will eliminate the problem at its source.

Ayurvedic treatments (Panchakarma) –
