A raised brow, slender fingers hovering over the remote control as he takes in the man beside him. There's a decision to be made here, in the soft glow of the screen and the music trotting out the introduction of something inane. They're both grown men. Both tired. Both grumpy. Both with something they want to watch.

"You made me watch that documentary yesterday," he declares simply, justification. The sound cuts off as he flicks to the other channel, lounging back against the sofa, dark hair tinged with stark strands of gray pulled back into a messy bun.

It's a fair enough trade off, as far as he's concerned. Jack will simply have to wait for the reruns.

It’s not so much a vacation as it is a ‘surveillance’ mission, but Jesse’s been on enough of these to know how they work.

And... to know that after it’s completed there’s going to be a solid day and change where he gets his time to do as he pleases. Lucky, too, he’s got a partner in crime for this particular mission. If only because they’d needed round the clock vigilance and a man can only stay up so long before he starts faltering.

Which is why as Jack packs up the equipment, and he sweeps the room for anything else left behind he keeps sneaking glances over at his lover. They’ve been professional, only a kiss here and there, gentle touches over hands and shoulders, and he’s eager for a little more contact.
