VERY CAREFULLY... Reaches up to put his hands over her 'ear fluffs'. That's it. That's all. "Almost the same. How comes your ears are naked? What's up with that."

Watches him back EQUALLY as very carefully. Not sure what he’s going for or playing at or thinking until he says it. “You’re trying to visual?”

“How am I supposed to answer that? That’s how my people are. All of us have hairless ears. Well, at least on the outside. I’m sure it has something to do with evolution but I couldn’t tell you what.” 

Very slowly she lifts her hand up to put them over his ear fur tufts. Entirely doing it to make a point satirically of how weird this all was. “Why are yours furry?” 

And there they stood, with hands on each others cheeks. 

Standing there.

Like assholes.

"Straighten... it? Whaddaya mean?" He eyes her curiously. "Is that what you do? Show me—"

She chuckled when he got so adamant about it. “Yeah, I do it quite often.”

“Alright alright, just hold still, I’ll show you on your bangs and then you can decide if you like it or not.” She lifted her hands up and they glowed their telling hot pink as they heated up. She tested the temperature on a lock of her own hair first, and then reach forward, pressing a tufts of his between her hands and then running it down through them to the tip of that hair.

“Okay the hair’s going to be hot so give it a couple seconds. But there you go, what do you think?.”

    Could she really pinpoint a single moment? Somewhere between the ridiculous antics, the crude jokes, endless conversations finished with laughing themselves silly, something…changed. There, that…flutter, that gut-twisting feeling, or it could have been a moldy banana, who knows, but somehow the little Midoan had gone and rubbed his little sticky paws all over her heart.

    She looked in his direction again, before looking away and scowling deeply, her forehead creasing, and an indigo blush rising to her cheeks as she pondered just how the voids this had happened. She couldn’t really?

    The next moment, it happened again, that fluttering twist, this time making her run to the trash.

    Nope, false alarm, definitely a moldy banana.
