Sorry this took so long anon 💙 I was watching Buzzfeed Unsolved when writing this and so kept getting distracted.

Guanlin loved being a part of Wanna One

He really did

But when he was the victim of all his hyungs teasing, well, not even his superior height could save him

And currently, he was sitting in the middle of the dorm during dinner with his members

Nothing unusual

But, thanks to Ongniel and their gossiping like village grandmothers, they had discovered something that he had hoped would stay secret from them, for this very reason

And this was the massive crush he had

The crush on you

Jisung and Seongwoo were currently crying about how their baby was growing up

Daehwi was giggling and clapping his hands together excitedly

And Guanlin was just sitting red faced in the middle of all the commotion, being questioned left and right

"Are they cute?"

"They're probably shorter than you aren't they?"

"Are they the same age as you?"

"Who else knows?"

"Oh my god, have you flirted?!"

It was safe to say, Guanlin regretted letting Seongwu and Daniel accompany his to the CUBE building

It was currently 7.30 in the evening, and Guanlin was making his into the CUBE building to pick up something of his from Seonho

But due to it being darker than usual thanks to winter, Jisung decided to turn into a mother and insist that he take someone with him

Which Ong overheard and offered to drive him in the managers car, and of course Daniel decided to tag along

So there they are, Ongniel trailing behind the maknae like lost puppies

That is until they suddenly bump into his back, Guanlin having suddenly stopped

They look at each other, then at Guanlins face

Only to see that he has gone bright red, nerves plastered across his expression

Identical grins spread across their faces as they see the source of all this

You, the cute high school student currently talking to someone in a room they are passing by

Seongwoo and Daniel decide not to say anything right then, and instead wait until they are back at the dorms to tease him

Which is how Guanlin ended up in this situation

With his face buried in his hands as he overhears the other boys planning what seems to be a Mission: Impossible level plan, to find out who this mysterious crush Ongniel saw is

You really do

He gives pretty good advice

You get free tickets to his concerts, which is always cool

And his group mates are also brothers, and love to treat you, which is never a bad thing

But when he wakes you up from your after school nap to bring him food, in the cold weather with the plastic bags of chicken digging into your palms and your nose freezing off

Well,,,

Kang Hyunggu is better let you have some of this chicken

Walking into the cube building, you are pretty sure you feel eyes on you, but you just shrug it off as the security cameras facing the entrance

However, that is not the only time you feel this as you are heading to the practice room Pentagon currently occupies

(Why did they have to be in the one furthest away?)

The second incident of something weird happening is when you are just exiting the lobby

The door behind you quickly slams shut again

And as you spin around, you are pretty sure that you see a piece of cloth quickly disappear round a corner

But against, you simply brush it off

And make your way into the elevator, and head off to the right floor

Incident number three happens as you get off the lift

As the doors close behind you, to your right the door to the stairwell slams shut, and you hear the faint rush of footsteps and distant giggling

OK

Now you are starting to feel a little freaked out

But you press on and head through the dim corridors to the room Kino said he is in

The floor is eerily empty for it being only 17.45 in the evening, so you walk a little faster than usual

Behind you, you hear faint whispers

Eyes widening, your speed walking becomes a light jog

You turn the corner

And suddenly you are on the ground, a light squeal making its way out of your mouth

Your heart is beating a million times a minute

You look up, kinda expecting to see the ghost of a axe murderer or a demon child in front of you

What, or who, is actually there has your breathing a sigh of relief

"Oh god, I am so sorry!"

In front of you stands Lai Guanlin, swaggy rapper and major cutie

He holds out his hand and you take it, him easily pulling you up to your feet

Thanking him, you stand up, picking JP the thankfully intact food bags

Now, you know Guanlin

Pretty well in fact

He is actually a good friend of yours

Ever since you moved to Seoul with Kino, staying with a relative in the city so you could attend the highschool you wanted to, you became a constant around the CUBE building

And you became friends with trainee Seonho, who introduced you to Guanlin

So you feel at ease enough to blurt out

"I think this place is haunted"

The boy laughs slightly at your serious face, before a sheepish look crosses his face and he rubs the back of his neck

"Uhh, that's just my hyungs. They decided to play James Bond."

"Here? Why.....?"

"Who knows why they do anything?"

Faintly, from around the corner you hear sounds of protest, and knowing that it isn't actually ghosts, you laugh

"So, I am playing delivery person and am being layer with one of the boxes, so if you aren't busy would you want to join me for chicken?"

Guanlins face lights up at the mention of chicken, and glad that he won't have to try and wrangle his hyungs together, quickly agrees to your offer

So off you walk side by side, to drop off your brothers food

What you don't know, is that 10 boys spill out into the corridor you just vacated

Half of them cheering that their youngest got himself a 'date'

The other half complaining that he was getting chicken and they weren't

To which Minhyun gets tired of their whining and says he'll buy some for them, as he and Jisung shuffle the boys out of the building

The little "chicken date" as Woojin dubbed it, only brought more teasing upon Guanlin

And on your end of it, you were being teased by Hyunggu and the nine other Pentagon boys

See, they had always known of the small crush you harbour for Guanlin

But being the supporting "brothers" they are, they hyped you up, insisting that your feelings were definitely returned, and that you should definitely ask him out

They really boost your confidence, and so you confide in Seonho, asking for advice on how one would go about asking Lai Guanlin out

Which Seonho finds hilarious

Because just a few days before, Guanlin had come to him asking the exact same thing

So, deciding to be good wingman (read: sneak) he tells you that Guanlin has a crush on you too

And after finally managing to convince you he was telling the truth, he helps you come up with a plan

So you find out when Guanlin next has free time, and invite him out to one of the basketball courts along Han River

Thankfully, he agrees, and one afternoon you meet him there

He greets you with a gummy smile, and you return it before passing a basketball to him

"So, how about a one on one? Winner gets to choose what the loser does?" You ask him

"You're on," he replies, playfully glaring in determination at you

Now, you really weren't expecting to win

In fact, your plan was to simply tire him out a little so you have a reason to buy him food and drinks, where you could confess

So when you made the final basket, declaring your victory, you turned to face Guanlin in disbelief

Only to find him already staring at you with a small smile on his face

Later on you would find out that you only won because Guanlin kept getting distracted by you looking way to cute, with a determined look on your face and hair falling into your face - it wasn't anything to do with your skills

Going up to him, you punch his arm and ask him what's up

Shaking his head, the tips of his ears turning red, he replies with "nothing."

And deciding to take the chance that fate has given you, you change your plan a little

"So, I won. That means I choose what you do."

"That is what we agreed on, yes."

"I want you to ask me on a date."

You grin at the look on Guanlins face, and watch in amusement as he stutters slightly, eye wide and a blush on his cheeks

But finally he works up the courage to say "Would you like to go out with me?"

Of course you agree, and your first date is to a convenience store where you share ramen and warm up after the being in the chilly outdoors

And that is the start of your relationship with Guanlin

When Hyunggu finds out that he is your boyfriend, and as a result as do the rest of Pentagon, they become the usual overprotective older brothers and much to your embarrassment, corner the poor boy on one of his visits to CUBE

And the boys of Wanna One still tease him relentlessly

Though now he just shoots back a "I don't see any of you dating."

That quickly shuts them up

Oh, and Seonho gets hit by Guanlin for betraying his trust

Guanlin is so sweet on you

He loves to treat you with little trinkets from all the countries he visits while on tour with Wanna One

There's keychains, plushies, even an 'I heart Tokyo' cap

A big part of your relationship is texting

Guanlin has your contact name set as a series of emojis that he won't tell you the meaning to

And in the midst of all the memey texts you send each other, there are cute good morning/night texts to each other that neither of you will admit you send, lest the teasing get even worse

Also, you become really good friends with Jihoon (because Panwink4lyfe)

And basically, you two have the usual adorable teenage romance

And Guanlins hyungs are so jealous of the maknae

But they love you two together

Except when you encourage his savage ways

Then they banish you two from their location

Though they are thankful that you two aren't big on PDA

But cute little kisses are shared in private

And hugs are given by him a lot

He loves being big spoon

And chicken

When I first started an anon requested a Jisung soulmate au but sadly never got back to me specifying which Jisung. So I decided to write one for my bias of Wanna One.

Everybody has a soulmate

Someone who matches with them perfectly

Sometimes their relationships are platonic, sometimes romantic

And it isn't unusual for soulmates to be two guys or girls

There are even people with more than one soulmate

Or a person with no romantic soulmate, whether because they just didn't work, are only friends or even because their soulmate died; sometimes they join another couples relationship

Furthermore, there are various soulmate 'marks'

There are the various different tattoo ones, with dates or names or pictures

Your parents couldn't see colour until they met each other

The mark you have is a little unusual

Because whenever you or your soulmate writes, the others non dominant hand will move the exact same way

When you were younger, you never had any signs of this, not until school started at least

When you hand first started twitching weirdly, your parents got so worried, taking you to the doctor immediately

But they couldn't find a cause, no neurological or muscular problems

But one day, little four year old you happened to be holding a crayon when it started happening

So you decided to put it down on paper, thinking that a pretty pattern might come out of it

But instead of the scribbles you were expecting, what seemed to be weird symbols started appearing

Little you runs to your parents, shouting about how aliens were trying to contact you by taking over your brain

Needless to say, they are so relieved when they realise tha your soulmate mark is at fault, and not aliens or some disease

Thankfully your mother recognises the language, her best friend actually being korean

They quickly tell you that it isn't some alien language and your mothers best friend, Mrs Choi, tells you that it is the korean alphabet

And so you learn both your soulmates nationality and age that day, them obviously being young like you and learning to read and write

And so you start learning korean

You start spending a lot of time with Mrs Choi and her family, who speak mainly korean around you to help you learn and get used to it

You end up becoming best friends with their daughter Suzy in fact

If is wasn't for the fact that she had her soulmates first words to her on her arm, then you two would have thought you were soulmates

But alas, life isn't that simple

Instead you have to put up with you hand twitching at the most annoying moments, like that time you were holding a drink which suddenly spilled all over you

When you enter your teenage years you mentally apologise to whoever your soulmate is, because the amount of homework and notes being taken in class is laughable

Though you aren't too apologetic, because the same thing is happening to you

You do thank the heavens that it happens to your non dominant hand though

And that your timezones seem to be different, as obviously your soulmate most likely lives in Korea; so usually you are sleeping or not busy when it happens

You start to gain the habit of doodling cute little pictures, or writing nice little phrases, offering encouragement on the chance that your soulmate decides to see what you may be writing

Because you definitely do that

Not too often, that would feel like an massive invasion of privacy

But every now and then when boredom takes ahold and your soulmate happens to be writing, you'll pick up a pen and let your hand do the rest

Your friends and classmates are always fascinated when you do this, always curious about what the foreign language says

Pretty soon though, high school is over

And you and Suzy decide to move to South Korea together, for a few reasons

Suzy's soulmates name on her arm is not only a Korean name, but it is in hangul which means they are most likely from the country itself

Then we have your soulmate who is also most likely korean

And lastly, Suzy has relatives who live in Seoul, and have agreed that you can stay with them for however long you want to, so why not take the chance to live in a new country

So off to Seoul you head

A few years go by and you are absolutely loving the city

Locals are constantly being surprised with your level of comprehension of their language

You are loving your job at the restuarant you work in as one of the wait staff

It is a family business, run by the loveliest old lady ever

During these few years, Suzy meets her soulmate, a lovely girl called Jieun

And it gets you wondering when you might meet your soulmate

You have never been one to overthink it like some people, instead just relying on fate to get you to them

But you just now realise that your indicator isn't an obvious one

You won't finally be able to see colour when you meet them; nor do you know the time that you will come together like some

In fact, you now realise that it is quite possible that you have met them just never realised

Before you can go into a mini panic over it, Suzy and Jieun both reassure you that you will meet someday, and that neither they nor you have ever met somebody with the same indicator as you and could have potentially been your soulmate

You do start to check what they are writing more often though

You start to feel like Sherlock Holmes, searching for the tiniest clue in what they are writing that might clue you in as to who they are or where you may find them

But sadly nothing so revealing appears

That is until one day, when you hand is moving in the same short, repetitive pattern for a while

Of course, you get curious, so you decide to see what you soulmate is doing

Well, aren't you surprised when you see a signature being written over and over again

You don't recognise it, and neither do Suzy and Jieun who happened to be with you

They do throw out the idea that you soulmate might be a celebrity though, because why else would someone be writing their signature so many times

You dismiss that idea though, thinking it could simply be someone practising their signature (because you have definitely done that before)

On your way home from work one day though, you pass an ad

On it is a (very handsome) face, and on that?

Well, you know, nothing special

Just the signature that you have about a hundred copies of written in the back of a spare notebook hid in your closet

You stand there in front of the window with the ad in disbelief

Because the handsome face with the signature is someone you recognise very well

You see, when Suzy met Jieun, she got the two of you into season 1 of Produce 101

So when season 2 came on, of course the three of you watched it; sharing laughs and shedding tears together

And so you are very familiar with the boys of Wanna One

You quickly head home to the apartment you now share with the two soulmates, still not believing what you have found out

When you tell the two girls of your discovery, they sit there in shock as well

Unlike you though, it is over the fact that they didn't realise it earlier

Your soulmate is Yoon Jisung

The three of you sit in silence and disbelief

Their little theory on your soulmate being famous was real

Suddenly you all look at each other and the next thing you know the girlfriends are jumping in circles around you squealing, while you look on with a big grin

You couldn't care less that your soulmate was an idol

That doesn't matter to you

But the fact that you know who your soulmate is, the fact that you are so close to him, well, it makes you feel a little giddy

You don't worry about how you are actually going to meet him, let alone prove to him you are his soulmate

Because for now, you are content

Because your soulmate is living his dream, with ten younger brothers who he ltaes to bits

And that thought makes you happy enough

But also a little hesitant

Because he is obviously a busy person, with a schedule that takes him all over the place

What if he just simply doesn't have the time or space for you?

So when Suzy and Jieun try to convince you to come up with a plan to meet him, you simply smile and shake your head

What you don't know is that in a dorm on the other side of Seoul, Jisung is sitting and staring at a piece of paper with a dreamy look on his face

Around him his members are cheering and teasing him

Because on that small piece of paper is a name, date of birth and address

One that he didn't write conscientiously

Of course he knew it could be anyone's details

But after a quick internet search courtesy of Woojin

He found out that the person in question has the same soulmate indicator as you

And I mean, it isn't exactly a common one

What are the chances that the name written down with his indicator, also happens to be the possessor of the very same one?

Very slim, that's what

And so there he sits, the kids all freaking out around him because he is the first of them to find his soulmate (something he is lowkey happy about. Imagine the teasing if one of the maknaes a had found theirs before him)

And it seems fate is in play, as that very same weekend they have a day free from schedules

So with the managers and the companies permission; him and the boys make a plan

Well, it isn't much of a plan really

More like, Seongwoo will drive (Jisung didn't get a choice in this matter) and take him to the address specified where he would find out if it really was his soulmate

When Saturday arrives, you intend on going about your usual routine of sleeping in, shopping then surfing the web

What you weren't expecting is to trudge to the door still half asleep at midday, pajamas on and hair messy

Only to be stood face to face with a nervously smiling face of one Yoon Jisung

You stand there for a moment just staring at him

An idol, your potential soulmate, is standing on your doorstep

And you look like you have been sleeping for years on end

"Hi, uh, are you L/N F/N?"

You nod your head slowly, thinking that you may actually still be asleep

"My name is Yoon Jisung and, I think you may be my soulmate?"

You straighten yourself out and move back, inviting the male inside

"Does your manager know you are here?"

"Yes...wait, you know who I am?"

"Who in South Korea doesn't?" You joke

Jisung smiles a little before taking the seat you offer him

"Would you like a drink?" you ask, which he declines

You sit down beside him, grabbing your notebook off of the coffee table, before wordlessly handing him it to him, open to the page full of his autographs

"I had a feeling you might be my soulmate too"

He stares in wonder at the page, proof that you may be his soulmate

Out of his pocket he pulls the piece of paper with your information on it and gives it to you

You immediately recognise your handwriting, and the words you had written on a form a few days before

You stand up, quickly running to get some pens, ripping some pages out of the notebook and handing one of each to Jisung

"Write something? Just to make sure?"

And so he starts writing, and you let your hand move on its own

On the page before you, words start to appear

"What's the king of all stationery? The ruler."

Laughter bursts out of you

Half at the bad joke, half at the fact that you have found your soulmate

The two of you look at each other

Before you know it you are holding each others hands spinning and jumping in circles, reminding you very much of Suzy and Jieun

You spend the rest of the day together, getting to know one another

And when he has to leave, his manager picking him up, numbers are exchanged

When Suzy and Jieun find out what happened, they are over the moon

You also allow yourselves to fangirl a little bit

Yes, you could care less your soulmate is famous but still, the three of you got emotionally invested in the lives of the produce boys and here you are, with one of the final eleven as your other half

The next few weeks are full of you two talking

Through text, kakao talk, face timing

And it soon becomes obvious you were feeling things that were more than platonic towards him, so obviously you do something about it

And it happens to be the day thatJisung decides that it is time for you to meet his members

So off you go, him having met up with you, mask on, hood up

On the journey, you hands automatically entwine

What you don't know is that beneath the face mask Jisung cheeks are flaming up

And as you are about to enter the practice room, you pull him to a stop

And standing there in an empty hallway, you place a timid kiss upon his lips

Let's just say, Jisung will never live down the fact that the boys found you two kissing in the hall, and that that was their first impression of you

Ok so I had written out loads of this when my computer crashed and I lost it all so if the first half seems a little off it’s because I had to rewrite it all and just...urg

Plus I actually researched the Korean schooling system and did the maths on korean ages and all that so hopefully it’s as accurate as possible

You met Jihoon when you both started first grade

He just moved to Seoul from Masan with his family just in time to start primary school

You had been seated together by the teacher but neither of you started any conversation due to you both being shy

It wasn’t until the 20 minute break after second period you even talked to him

You saw him being surrounded by a group of about 4 other kids and he looked...sad

Walking up to them all, you heard that they were making fun of his satoori

So overcoming your shyness in order to help out a classmate

You move to stand in front of the boy and tell them off as well as a 7 year old you can

(Jihoon would later tell you that you looked like his mother when she was telling him off)

After they apologise and move away, you take Jihoon’s hand and pull him over to join you in drawing

And that’s where you friendship started

You quickly became best friends

You shared everything

Food, clothes, secrets

Even families considering you basically lived at each others house

Sometimes you thought your parents loved Jihoon more than you, not that you can blame them

Whenever he was in a musical, you made your parents buy tickets for every showing

Whenever he was in a drama you would drag both your families into one of your sitting rooms and make them all watch every episode with you

When he appeared on KM Idol War with Big Bang you wouldn’t shut up about how lucky he was

And you made sure he ate and got enough rest when he was a trainee

You were his biggest supporter

And he was yours

When your family pet died, he was your shoulder to cry on

He sat on your bed and listened to you gush about your crushes all night

And brought you your favourite ice cream when you got dumped for the first time

He celebrated with you when you got that high mark you had studied so hard for

And you loved each other to bits

It was only when you comforted him when his knee injury caused him to miss out on potentially debuting as a member of Astro that he realised these feelings weren’t completely platonic

He started noticing things he hadn’t payed attention to before

Like how well your hands fit together

Or how pretty your smile was when you found the snack you wanted in the convenience store

He never voiced anything though; he was happy with being your best friend

Whenever one of the lovely old grandmothers mentioned how cute you looked together during your regular market trips

Or when an auntie with a baby on her hip said she hopes her kid is lucky enough to find a relationship like yours when they grow up

You would simply smile and say thank you instead of denying and if you had ever looked at Jihoon in these moments 

You would see his ears turn bright red as a shy smile appeared on his face

You couldn’t blame people for thinking you were a couple instead of best friends considering that skinship was never a shy subject for either of you

You could often be found his head in your lap and your fingers running through his hair

And if you were walking together, if your arms or hands weren’t linked together then he would have his arms wrapped around you with his chin on your shoulder

(You always complain about how hard it is to move like that but he never listens and still does it)

Despite all this, you never gave any thought to it; being used to it all

It is only when Jihoon is accepted as a contestant on season 2 of PD101 to you start to question yourself

You find yourself missing him more than usual even though he isn’t far away

When you see him winking in the show; you feel butterflies in your stomach despite having witnessed him practicing his winking in your bedroom mirror

And you get jealous when people start fangirling/fanboying over his aegyo

The same aegyo he would use on you to get what he wants

And it suddenly hits you that you have a crush

On Park Jihoon

Your Jihoon

Your best friend

And while you are in shock for the rest of the day, after a good nights sleep you wake up thinking that you can’t stop feeling what you are

So you go on as you were

Voting for your best friend and talking to him whenever you can

And you are so proud of him when he finds out that not only will he be debuting, but that he came in second place

That the next time you see him you give him the biggest hug ever, despite being in front of all the other newly Wanna One members

(According to Woojin, it lasted more than five minutes)

The next few weeks go by as normal; except for the fact that you see each other less due to him being so busy with getting ready to debut and all

You two are constantly confusing the other members of Wanna One with all your skinship

“So you two aren’t dating? Are you sure?”

“Are you and Daniel dating Seongwoo?”

“...if I say yes does that mean you have to ask them out? Ow!”

*cue both Daniel and Jihoon hitting Seongwoo* 

(Ongniel is Science)

You are both used to getting these comments, however it’s different now that you are both aware of your own feelings towards the other

Jihoon isn’t the only one with red ears during these times now

The constant teasing cause you two to sort of drift apart a little

Well, not really

You just start to become almost shy around each other, and you don’t talk nearly as much as you used to

And so you, being young and dumb, start to avoid him a little, hoping it will make it all die down a little

This behaviour continues on until after the debut of Wanna One

One night Jihoon is just sitting in bed think about why you were avoiding him 

Did he do something to make you hate him?

Did you find out about his crush on him?

He doesn’t get any sleep that night and so the next day he finds Jisung and asks for advice on what to do

(Jisung has to pause for a moment because he feels so touched that Jihoon came to him for advice)

Of course, Jisung simply tells him to just confess already because he is pretty sure you feel the same way

And so, with the confidence of his leader backing him up, Jihoon vows to do just that

He invites you over to the practice room to watch them, well, practice

Your are just browsing the internet on your phone when you receive a text from Jihoon asking you to join him

You quickly change out of you pajamas, subconsciously dressing a bit nicer than you would normally dress when meeting up with Jihoon, before saying a quick ‘see you later’ to your parents and heading out

As you arrive at the practice room, Jihoon greets you with the usual hug

Silently sighing in relief when you accept it instead of pushing him away

If you hated him then you wouldn’t have come in the first place so at least he knows that much now

For the next few hours, you cheer on the boys as they dance, handing out bottles of water and towels when needed and even having your own go at the dance

As they take a break, Jihoon walks over to you and pulls you outside

You both decide to ignore the whistles and catcalls of the boys behind you

As you come to a stop, he turns to face you looking more nervous than you had seen him before, which is hard considering how many times you had seen him nervous before auditions and performances

“Is everything alright?” you ask the boy before you, placing a hand on his cheek as you have often done before

He takes your hand off his cheek, but doesn’t let go of it

“I don’t think we can be best friends any more” he spits out

And as your eyes widen, grip on his hand loosening a little, he realises how that sounded

“No! No, I didn’t mean it like that! I meant that I like you and have for a while now but you’ve been avoiding me and so you probably knew this and don’t feel the same way even though Jisung hyung said you might but I needed to tell you and get it off my chest.” 

All of that is said with one breath

It is silent between you for a moment as you take his words in, before you take his other hand in yours and swing you arms between you

“So your saying that all the times that people have said we look like a cute couple, we could have actually been a couple?”

Jihoon immediately understands the meaning behind your words and a massive smile appears on his face before he pulls you in close

“Better late than never right?”
