hype boy 1 - "HypEST"
Kokona say to pay attention to acting in the performance because they spent special time on perfecting that. Yumeki says Rinon suits this song the most. He says Yuuki doesn't stand out enough. Yuuki struggles with how she should show her expression and worries about being forgettable. Rino says Yuuki's so upset because she realizes that she can do it, and it makes her scared. Thelma and Lee tell Rinon that she's singing way too fast. Kokona breaks down because she doesn't think she's fit to be center and asks if she can be demoted but the group reassures her. Koto and Yuuki even tell her "you can do it" and "keep going" in the middle of their dance performance for Yumeki. Kokona gets up extra early to go practice in the practice room by herself. The group ended up performing the song a little too fast. The groups were close, but Kokona's hard work paid off and pushed them over into winning.
hype boy 2 - "CONFESSION TRAINEES"
They struggle with the Korean, and Runa is upset that she is the only one that doesn't have experience with Korean despite being the leader. Lee critiques their sense of rhythm since they aren't paying attention to the instrumental. Aiko is complimented for her voice. Arisa and Runa are roommates, so they practice together. Rino says to show the lyrics through the dance because not everyone in the audience will know Korean. She says everyone needs to feel the emotion rather than copying. Natsuho adds ballet to her part in the dance to make them stand out. They do other dance arrangements to fit their special skills. They chose a character for each person during the performance. Arisa says she couldn't find even one person in the audience who was holding up her sign and felt bad for getting so few votes. They lost by very little.
fiesta 1 - "ONever"
Entire group talks about their experience. Average years of dancing experience is 11 hours, and they learn the dance within 4 hours. But their singing is very rough. Essentially their entire segment is about their weak vocals and trying to fix it. Ken says Rena may come off as angry because of her expression and clumsiness. They have to get help from Tsuzumi for singing. Even at the rehersal none of them are hitting any of the right notes. "Are you kidding me with that voice? That wasn't music." They listen back to how off key they are and get criticized more. During the performance, Miyu is praised by the judges. They thought Riro really led the group as well.
Fiesta 2 wins, and there is a HUGE gap. I think actually the biggest gap yet.
fiesta 2 - "Non blink"
Rimika comes up with most of the dance formation and Jueri, who volunteered for leader, helps a little. Jueri says she has always liked to organize, so she has the qualities of a leader. Jueri and Rimika butt heads because Jueri keeps changing the formation, and Rimika isn't happy with the changes. Rimika leaves during practice, and Honoka says she feels no group cohesion. They have an "emergency meeting", and Ameli says they aren't leaving until everything is resolved. Jueri says she thinks that no one is happy with her being a leader, but she was doing her best since no one else was stepping up. Rimika says she wants to win since it's a group battle, but during the lesson, when the instructor asked who should go first, no one raised their hands from their group. Rimika says she has no self-confidence, and she feels like they have no cohesion and she doesn't want to work together with the group anymore. Yuka says this is her first time working with her but she thinks she's an amazing person. Jueri says she thinks Rimika is speaking directly about her and asks to speak alone with her. Jueri says she didn't know Rimika was taking it so seriously, and that she is grateful for Rimika coming up with most of the formation and apologizes for their differences. Rimika also apologizes.
Fiesta 2 wins, and there is a HUGE gap. I think actually the biggest gap yet.
cheer 1 - "Love potion"
Karen says she just chose the cutest members. She also says she wants to shoot for getting the song Cheer Up to fit their cuteness. Riko is chosen as the center after a singing battle and group vote. Sakura is the only one from C class, so she says she has trouble speaking up if something is wrong. Sakura isn't feeling well and misses practice. The group struggles with dance formation spots, especially since Sakura is missing. Yumeki says they're forgettable and asks honestly if they think the parts are distributed properly and suggests they have a discussion about it. Mikoto says she feels like Kotone and herself are outsiders since the others are already close and has trouble speaking up. Karen is upset because she feels like there isn't any team cohesion, and that makes her nervous. Everyone starts speaking more honestly with each other after the discussion, and Sakura rejoins the group. Sakura gets lots of praise during the performance by the judges in the end.
Group 2 is winning by a lot, but Sakura gets an amazing 139 votes and pushed Group 1 into winning. It was a really close battle.
cheer 2 - "Honey and chili"
Aruha says she wanted to showcase everyone's individual skills. Aruha works on creating a formation. Ayaka says that no one in the group really fits Cheer Up because they all have a strong "cool" vibe. Rino (member) says tells Rino (judge) that they still don't have the performance memorized. Rino (judge) says that they already know the winner between the two groups then and asks them to show what they have. Aruha is upset during practice because she's never danced to something cutesy and doesn't know how to express herself. She asks for help from Rino (judge.) They decide to lean on each other with help with each other's weaknesses and strengths. They decide they want to show a less soft and more fierce version of Cheer Up. They say that this performance should raise Anon from F because she did not give a "F" class performance. They also said Aruha really had energy until the end.
Group 2 is winning by a lot, but Sakura gets an amazing 139 votes and pushed Group 1 into winning. It was a really close battle.
tokyo girl 1 - "mel fish"
Nana has no dance experience so she tried her hardest to keep up. There are many beginner dancers in this group. Group 2 is so good that Group 1 can't focus and is only watching them. Mana says they need to focus up and not focus as much on Group 2. There's a huge age difference (Mana is 25 and the rest are all teenagers), and she thinks no one else is taking it seriously because they're younger. Yumeki says he wonders what they did during practice to get this kind of performance and even a dance club at school is better. He says it's impossible to critique them when they're this bad. He asks them to dance by counting and no one is in sync. Mana says she feels regretful that she wasn't able to get everyone to focus. Yumeki says this performance may be the last chance for some of them, and they need to really focus up. Mana says she feels like there's no group cohesion and that came across in front of Yumeki. Haruka says the other team is really good, and she's been doing her best, but she's not as good as she thought. Rio says she's afraid she's holding everyone back. Sara says she understands it may be their last chance, and she wants more cohesion. Nana says she wants everyone to be able to lean on each other. Yumeki thinks it's truly amazing in the second practice and can't believe how much they improved in such a short time. Thelma sees their anxiety coming across in their performance, and that it was the most nervous group that performed. Huge difference in votes, the biggest one yet. Group 2 wins by a lot.
tokyo girl 2 - "AWAKE"
Ranka was happy to be chosen by her beloved Ran from group F to this group. Nonoka thinks Ran is like a bigger sister and is a great leader. She is happy she was chosen from F group. Ran gives each member private lessons and criique. Ran sees Miu as her rival because she lost to her as center in Fly High. Momona helps with the group's vocals. Yumeki says Group 2 is the best he's seen today, and he's seen six other groups. He thinks there's a lot of group cohesion, but he needs to make sure that as artists, they show emotion. He says they aren't coming across with that yet. They watch Body and Soul Group 2 because the producers want to play up the Ran/Miu rivalry. Ran tells Rino that she feels like she's falling behind others. She says she was confident when she picked her team and that they are competent. Huge difference in votes, the biggest one yet. Group 2 wins by a lot.
body and soul 2 - "BUD"
They practice with Group 1. Gen Z doesn't know SPEED. One of them says they thought the group was men. Kokoro says she's the only one who knows the song and feels really old even though she's only a year older. Miu works on formation. Miu makes the atmosphere all weird by saying something KY ("It doesn't matter what other people think of our group name.") She says she's used to practicing in Korea where the culture is different. She keeps secluding herself more and more with practice. Miu says she doesn't understand the role in her group, and Kokoro privately reassures her that she doesn't need to fill a certain role and that she's doing fine. Miu says she picked the team, but she doesn't even feel like there's a place for her in her own team. Rino (judge) says she needs to have confidence and not let her defeat in Korea ruin her spirit. She says it's not as easy to just run to Japan and debut here. She needs to have the confidence to perform anywhere. Rino comforts her and makes her feel better right away. Nano falls asleep while sitting up during a group discussion. Suzu feels bad that she couldn't support Miu more during "Spicy" performance. Suzu also says that Miu can be harsh without realizing it, even if she doesn't mean it. Kokoro says she wants Miu to be more clear with less negative attitude. After the discussion, Suzu says the group communication got better because people were being more clear. Yumeki says that they're unmatched as number 1 right now, even though he shouldn't say as much as a trainer.
I don't even have to write who won here but just for posterity, it was Group 2.
