We’re on Inidan Rocks Beach, and at the end of the dune path there’s a little free community library box, we get ice cream at the kooky coconut and stand at the beach’s edge and watch the sandpipers with our feet in the water. There’s a house on stilts with turquoise paint we can go back to, and you keep provoking the seagulls to make me laugh even when they go after your french fries. we lose track of time and the sun sets down the length of the beach, throwing purple shadows and making the sky the pinkest thing in the world. A breeze ripples throughout the dune plants and i stand on the patio and kiss your nose
