What character are you applying for? Dave Strider
Why are you interested in this character? He's my third favorite character to roleplay. His whole 'cool' facade while being an actual dork who just likes to rap is really amusing to me. He's one of my favorite humans in homestuck, one of the ones that has made me laugh the most. Not to mention, coming up with raps for him is one of my favorite things to do when I rp as him.
What is your personal interpretation of this character? How would you describe their personality? Dave is probably one of the most complex characters in homestuck, in my own personal opinion. We start off with a guy that gives this aura of 'cool' that has all these hobbies apparent 'cool' kids would have. He appears to be strong, as he has been trained by his brother in who knows how many fighting styles. He carries around a lot of weapons which give you the impression that he's ready for anything and everything, that nothing ever would take him by surprise. He's talented, he comes up with raps on the fly and has pretty colorful, entertaining ways to describe things.
But beyond all of that, beyond the cool exterior, and his vibe of not really being phased by anything that happens around him, Dave actually has a lot of fears, insecurities and worries. I would even say that he's a bit paranoid when it comes to certain things.
Despite his 'I don't care' attitude, he worries and cares A LOT for his friends. For him, his friends are the most important thing that he currently has.
All in all, he's just a huge dork with a big heart.
What would be your character’s major or occupation? It’s fine to be undecided, and you can change it later if you like! He would be Biology major. At least for now!
Give a physical description of your character. About 5'10" not to tall, but not too short. He's lean, as he is a very physical active individual. Short, blond hair, sun kissed skin because all of his hours spent outside, and a pair of red eyes that he always hides behind a pair of aviator shades. He usually wears his headphones when he's on his way to class, as he is more often listening to music than not.
Give an example post of your character in this AU.
Today was not a great day for Dave Strider. You see, Dave was a transfer student from Texas, from a relatively small college. A lot of his classes transferred into this new college but many didn't transfer directly, so he's been going from department, to department, trying to get all his classes sorted out.
It was a fucking pain.
By the end of the day, he had found out that he would have to be retaking at least two classes, which in all wouldn't be too bad... if that didn't push his graduation farther by two whole semesters. He had a feeling this would happen, so it didn't take him by surprise at all.
Didn't mean that it didn't make him want to make a backwards pirouette out of the fucking handle.
In any case, what was done was done and he would have to suck it up. Maybe once he got to his dorm--which was pretty sweet--and had a nice, cold, glass of AJ he would feel much better. While he walked back to his destination, he whipped out his phone and began to text one of his friends.

Yeah. He wasn't very pleased at all. He hoped his friend got the 'shart' joke though. He thought it was pretty funny.
