I was listening to #pdxbroadsides album Aim to Misbehave today and it turned out to be appropriate because one of my families favorite songs from that album is The Lego song. And with the upcoming release of #mandalorian Lego sets on May the fourth I thought it might be appropriate to share with all of you. Filking, have you heard of it? I didn’t know what it was until I walked into a concert being put on by The PDX Broadsides at OryCon 2017. Their folk roots and witty lyrics had me hooked before the first song was over. 🥰 The PDX Broadsides have been playing together for over 8 years, and the harmonies and banters heard within each song and during their onstage performances are the ingredients resulting in two nominations for a Pegasus Awards for Excellence in Filk. Hot off the press is their new CD “Trust Issues” which I recently received for my Kickstarter contribution. The trio met their goal and were funded in 16 hours! Yes, they are that good! Crushing it last night in performance with my brilliant band mates as nerd rockers, "The Wesley Crushers". Have never had more fun on stage in my life. And we whipped up some donations for the CBLDF, too!
