Thunder WR Justin Monahan goes bowling for Barnstormers and helps spring fellow wideout Jeffrey Solomon for a TD late in the game. He picked up the spare, too.
Do you remember the Portland Forest Dragons? According to Terry Emmert, fans of the short-lived Arena Football League franchise certainly miss the team. His team, the Portland Thunder, made its debut at Moda Center Tuesday night against the San Jose SaberCats. The fan reaction thus far has been robust, according to Emmert, CEO of Clackamas-based Emmert Industrial, a specialist in moving heavy objects. "You can’t go anywhere that people aren’t talking about it," Emmert said. It's starting to regain its form. The league again has a national TV contract, albeit on the lower profile CBS Sports Network — which is airing tonight's game — and joining Emmert this year in the cast of league owners are rock stars Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS. http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/blog/2014/03/portland-thunder-owner-explains-his-budding.html
