04/05/2021 - Key Banner
Dear diary,
I awoke late today to start my errands when I was immediately approached by my fellow villager, Coco. Ah, Coco. My cork bunny waifu. How much I love her. She said she had something to show me and then ushered me into her house where two more villagers were waiting for us. Axel the weight trainer and Zucker the bug loving, snacky boi. I was bewildered to say the least, until I looked around her house and spotted numerous decorations and a yummy cake.
“Happy birthday!” They exclaimed in unison. They remembered. They remembered my birthday, diary! I could hardly hold my excitement as I blew out the candles and the cake was simply delicious. I’ll bet Zucker had a hand in that. You know him and his love of everything culinary. Coco told me they had been planning this for awhile now and I hadn’t a clue about it. Then she reached behind her and pulled out a present for me! I love presents. It was a rockin’ birthday hat! Such a great add to my collection! I really need to send them all a thank you note through the mail tomorrow.
Bunny Day has come and gone and so have all the eggs. Things weren’t as lively as they’ve been the past week leading up to Bunny Day. Other than that, the cherry blossoms are still in full bloom and as I sit here in the study, I reflect on this past year and what and what my time here on this island has meant for me.
It’s been a hard year on Key Banner. Building the museum, the shops, all those houses. Fishing and diving for creatures, catching bugs, harvesting fruits, not to mention the six months we spent cultivating flowers to obtain the legendary blue rose. Many villagers have come and gone but I always look forward to new faces and new friends. I’ve grown a lot this past year on Key Banner and I’m curious as to how this next year will play out.
Yours a year older,
Robin Ami
