I had an argument at dinner with my Mom last night about things like the stupid Flock cameras. I said that the flock cameras shouldn’t exist and she kept going “Well you say that until they save someone’s life 🤗” and I was like…they aren’t though? They are being used by a private company to stockpile data that no one has consented to give and when law enforcement is given access to “help people” they are using it to stalk and harass people. I don’t even want to imagine the way ICE will or has been using it to hunt people nor do I want to think about the implications of how it will be used if we cannot stop and reverse this rapid descent into fascism.

it really is insane to me that some people just fundamentally do not understand what fear mongering is and how it works. They will just watch fox news all day and hear all of these insane claims and decide to live in that version of reality instead of the one we actually live in. aka the reality where they could very easily figure out that rich people are problem and the rich are in fact the one TRYING to make them believe all of these insane fear mongering nonsense claims so no one focuses on the fact these people being rich is the issue.
