For Mother Hen: Don't you just love the wonderful irony that is Wonderland's acceptance of Outsiders? How one must "reject time/the advance of time" and yet when an Outsider becomes properly integrated into Wonderland they "become time itself"? It's so twisted, so sadistic, and yet so kind. D'you have any particular thoughts on this?

Haha, oh you! I love it. 

The thing that makes the difference, I think, is that they’re rejecting the time around them. Something in their life has broken and can’t be fixed. They’ve lost control and don’t want to keep going on with the memory of that thing. It’s living with the memory, the pain that they want to stop, and thus time must stop for that to happen.

In Wonderland when they reject the memory or reject time and become it, they now are more in control in a way. They’re in control of the time around them. They also are able to forget the memory that haunted them. 

I think the “stopping time” is more about “stopping the memory” than it is time itself.
