These Peach Crumble Bars are a delightful dessert featuring fresh peaches sandwiched between layers of buttery crumble. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tablespoons cornstarch. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. A 9x13-inch baking pan should be greased. Put flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 cup of sugar in a large bowl and mix them together. Add the butter and mix until the mixture looks like big crumbs. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well until the mixture is crumbly. Once the pan is ready, press half of the mixture into it. Put the peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a different bowl. Pour the peach mixture over the crust in the pan in a thin layer. Cover the peaches with the rest of the flour mixture. After the oven is hot, bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is just beginning to turn golden brown. Let cool all the way down before cutting into bars.
