Getting married was exhausting, she discovered that day. It wasn’t so simple to just sign a paper and have someone conducting the ceremony. After that she had to go around, smile at everyone. Be as social and nice. She had to walk around with that dress that although it was probably one of the most beautiful wedding dress she had ever seen it was still something she had to lift from the ground to not end up falling. Also had to take pictures, having her now husband always on her side. It wasn’t like she hated him, but they both were clear about the reason they go married. But people had no idea, they kept complimenting the couple saying how well they fit together. Asked if they had plans for kids. All kinds of invasive things. It wasn’t a torture but she couldn’t wait for that to be over. In that moment she could only think of their honeymoon, maybe they could actually have a nice time together. Get to know each other a little better (yes they went on dates, but they were all to talk about the marriage and how it would go. They mostly seemed like business meetings) to at least have that fake marriage to be bearable to both of them. “I think we can finally leave. The car is waiting.” Taehee said while placing her hand over his arm. Their parents also seemed to get close to them to send them off.

the day had ticked off prosecutor candy chu and her mood wasn’t the best while she was shopping. had she seen lawyer ji the haha-er dude she kind of grew up with, she would have had a nice fight with him and she would have relieved her stress, but apparently nobody wanted the services of that weirdo. nevertheless, he could have at least showed his face so she could tell him how stupid he looked, or how outdated his hair were. anything really. 

and out of miracle, her prayers were answered, for candy was already grocery shopping and spotted him from afar in the isle with the toast breads and wraps and cereal. leavng her cart in place she quickly sneaked her way to the unattended cart while he went to the neighboring isle and stole from it his ramen packs and the milk, turning her back she quickly went back to her cart making her way to the snacks isle. “i’m sure he will never even notice that i took stuff.” she mumbled before starting to randomly laugh mimicking the way he did it. immediately she stopped herself with a slap. “candy! don’t start doing it when he isn’t around! get a grip.”

     it wasn’t that she was sad that her sister had left, in fact she was happy that the elder had been able to leave the place she hated so much, and wanted to make sure to leave more than ever. she knew that haseul hated the fact that her powers weren’t working like usual on the earth, jungeun had learnt to live without them, and use them the way she was doing. she had adapted a lot. and.. she did not want to cost the life of taewoo on her own departure. for some reason, his life and happiness had become a lot more important than the journey to find their way back to loona was. perhaps, jungeun had been adapting too much to the earth, and she was now starting to feel human feelings. feelings that she yet did not understand. 

it wasn’t that she was sad that her sister had left, but she felt lonely now when she wasn’t there. and that’s why she was now sitting there, on a chair next to taewoo’s bed, crying. 

the attempt she had given to extract the crystal from taewoo had hurt him a lot, causing him to lay lifeless on the ground and the next few days he had been swaying between life and death and ( jungeun wanted to believe ) after nursing he had finally regained his health and the day previous to this one, he had finally opened his eyes again, exactly one week after the attempt of extraction. 

the sun was shining through the dimmed windows in the small place taewoo had offered the sisters long ago, hitting his eyelids and causing them to flutter a little while he released a soft moan to indicate he was waking up. the noise alone was enough for her to silent her sobs and dry her wet cheeks.  ❛ i … oh.. good morning. are you hungry? ❜ she stuttered out, her mouth being dry from the crying.

     now, when he was seated in the chair, rena staring right at him in the wait for the tattoo artist to mark his arm with the signature tattoo for the serpents, this was all seeming like a truly bad idea. deul, all of sudden, didn’t seem ready for doing such a thing yet but he knew he had to do it, especially now with his father being back and all of that.  ❛ are you sure this is a good idea? ❜ he turned to rena, she was the only one of the younger serpents he dared to do this with, the others would probably make fun of him in the long run.
