Bucky’s hand is warm in yours as he walks you down the path. Even though you’ve never been here before, you know Bucky has walked these steps hundreds of times and knows the way by heart. 

The wildflowers brush against your legs, tickling you. The wind blows gently through the trees, rustling the leaves. Bucky gives your hand a squeeze, pulling your attention to him,

“You hear that?” he asks, gesturing down the path with his metal arm. You stop walking and listen, loving the sounds of the forest as they filter through. In the distance, you can hear rushing water. “That’s where we’re headed,” he tells you with a grin.

A few minutes later, you find yourself in front of a stunning waterfall. Water tumbles over the edge and crashes onto the rocks below, sending a spray of mist into the air. It takes your breath away. 

Bucky walks you closer to the waterfall and back into a cove behind the sheet of water. The rocks are dry, so you and Bucky sit against the back wall of the cove, watching the water. 

“Thank you for bringing me here,” you say, having to raise your voice a bit to make yourself heard over the water. “It’s beautiful.”

Bucky tugs you closer into his embrace, holding you close. He dips his head and bumps your nose with his. “You’re beautiful,” he counters, grinning. 

You roll your eyes at how cheesy the line is, but you feel your heartbeat speed up nonetheless. “I’m serious,” he says, tilting your chin with his fingers, “You know how much I care about you, right?” 

Before you get the chance to respond, Bucky brings his lips to yours in a sweet kiss, cradling your head with his hands. You lean into him, letting yourself get lost in his touch. It’s so easy with Bucky, so simple. One touch and you’re undone, melting for him, and you wouldn’t want it any other way.

Specifically Enchanted Forest Jefferson. This sweet man is all heart, and wants the love of his life - you - to be content and happy. He gets you to make notes of what ingredients you need for recipes you want to try, and he does his best to get them for you. He's happy to cuddle up with you at night, listening as you spin wonderful ideas on different ways to fix up your little cottage. He barters what he can to make sure you always have a good book to read.

There is not :( It is currently on hiatus due to other projects I’m working on and not having enough time. Thank you for reading the first part though!

I do have a taglist and I will add you if you want! I'm glad you liked Chimera, it was my baby for a while and my first foray into HC character fics. I was very uncertain on how it was going to be received seeing as I like to put a supernatural spin on my stuff. As far as Masks is concerned, I have Ch.11 in my google docs, but I've been hit with a horrible case of writers block when it comes to running stories. The RPF Cavill drabble does have a part two (let me just grab that link for you real quick....here you go! )
