Paulie:

Wreck wreck wreck he's a wreck--

If you brush this mans hand with a finger like you're about to hold his hand he's going to be so frickin red in the face already, and if you don't go through with it he's going to be even more broken.

Make a noise like a cross between a grunt and a whine as he spins away rubbing the back of his neck rapidly as if nothing just happened right then. He'll play it off if you try and get his attention, albeit in a very shouty "I'M NOT BLUSHING SHUT UP I'M GOING OVER HERE BYE-" way.

He's definitely the type of person who doesn't want to push things- he is in deep with his S/O, even from the very first week with them, but god forbid he risk scaring them off. So the pace is pretty much up to his S/O, even if they keep backing out.

Drives him bonkers regardless though!

If it keeps happening he’ll get low-key concerned that he’s done something wrong to make his S/O keep shying away from holding his hand or kissing.

Definitely asks if he’s upset them in any way or scared them, but does it in a kind of round-a-bout way to avoid bringing up hand holding or kissing.

He does not want them to think he’s trying to push them into doing either if they’re not yet ready to, so he doesn’t go anywhere near the subject.

Once he’s been assured he hasn’t done anything wrong though, he’s all good. He’s still an absolutely flustered and shouty wreck every time the almost’s happen, but he doesn’t do anything to try and speed his S/O up or push them along.

And when his S/O finally holds his hand, pecks his cheek or lips lightly for the first time, he’s a gosh darn puddle. For once he’s so deeply red in the face, but minus the shouting. He’s so in love.

Sanji:

He is so dang frustrated in so many ways, let me tell ya.

He's a mess- crossed between his usual flirty and overzealous behavior, and not wanting them to think he's going too fast or trying to push them along.

But ALSO he wants !! To do things !! For you !!

BUT ALSO NOT GO TOO FAST--

He's just naturally like that and is used to jumping in and making every dang first move, so allowing his partner to do so first to have control for their comfortability is new to him, but he's doing his best!

He’s really good externally about the shying away or backing out at the last second, whether it’s kisses or hand holding.

Just gives a little smile and changes the subject if his S/O is looking like they’re feeling bad or awkward about backing out of giving him a kiss or holding his hand. Makes for the perfect time to ask how they’re doing today in his eyes!

Internally, he is screeching.

“THEY NEARLY HELD MY HAND!!! THEY NEARLY KISSED ME!!!! AAAAAA THEY’RE SO AMAZING !! <3333″

Really wishes he could just scoop them up and hold their hand while giving them little kisses all over their face.

He never, ever would though. Everything is up to his S/O, and he means it. He could wait forever for them to fully make the first moves and he’d be just as happy.

When his S/O finally holds his hand or gives him a little kiss though, he will not stop squealing, blushing hard, making giant heart eyes, yelling their name in the most over-the-moon joyous tone imaginable, and just- looking so dang happy.

Law:

He’s usually a pretty chill type of guy to have as a partner.

Says he doesn’t mind taking it slower or leaving first moves up to his S/O at all, and he’s absolutely telling the truth.

Fingers brushing on his but pulling back at the last second, a false leaning in to give him a kiss- he isn’t all that bothered at all.

Was he about to get flustered?

Yes.

Is he now?

Also yes, but he does his dang well best to hide it.

He doesn’t mind all the shying and backing out, and definitely understands all the reasons that could cause his S/O to do so, from just teasing him, to wanting to take it slower than even they thought in the moment.

Won’t push them at all. He said he’d let them pick the pace, he meant it. And making his S/O happy first is infinitely more important than getting to hold their hand or kiss them sooner than they want.

The second they actually go through with it though? Even if just an absentminded grab of his hand or a little kiss on his cheek?

Gone. He's gone.

He will do every little thing to cover it up, from clenching his jaw and coughing as his cheeks paint red, to arching an eyebrow at you and hmphing like it didn't get to him in the slightest.

It obviously did.

It very obviously did.

Karkat paused from reading his book. That... was a sound that sounded suspiciously like Dave sneezing. Hesistantly, he pushed himself up, walking out of his room and peering into Dave’s room. Sanji:

Fish nerd fish nerd--

I mean, he’s a chef of the high seas with a specialty of seafood, of course he is.

It does not matter if you are at an aquarium with this man or sitting on the edge of a pond, he will prolly know exactly what little fishy is swimming near you in the water and also knows a dozen different little facts about the species at hand.

He has a little pocketbook on species of fish in the area, so if he forgets anything, he can just flip through it and give you a little spiel from there.

Usually one of the facts he gives is a dish it would be good in, but it still counts, and it’s funny as hell to hear him spouting off a recipe description in between facts like it’s totally normal.

It becomes half of the fun- pointing out any fish you may see to ask if Sanji knows it’s species or any little facts about it, low-key waiting for the day he gives a confused expression and says no, he doesn’t know that particular fish!

The day has not come yet but it will someday, you hope. For no other reason than it’d be cute to see him flipping through his pocketbook to no avail and then watching it closely with you in wonder.

Also, he’s really big on little details. Quietly sits hugging his knees up to his chin on the bank and marvels about how that little fish’s scales sparkle rainbow-like in this particular lighting, or mumbles about how fluid the others’ tails move in the water with simple flicks and darts.

It also helps that he likes to bring along snacks for both you and the fish alike. Something that gets them practically swarming the water, and is plenty healthy for them to boot.

You could be sat there for hours and not get bored honestly. Between the pretty and relaxing fish, and nice conversation, Sanji’s really a joy to go watching fish with.

Law:

The man lives in a submarine. It's like going to an aquarium whenever it submerges and you peek out some of the larger windows.

Needless to say, watching fish with him is fun as all heck, especially once he comes out of his shell a bit more.

The Polar Tang could be stopped near a reef and he’ll pretend to be disinterested and like it’s something he’s used to, but the second a golden colored fish comes swimming near the window and you point out it looks like the submarine itself, he can’t help but crack a little smile.

He REALLY loves when tropical fish go by especially- The bright colors make him happy and he likes to look at their markings as close as he can through the clearer blue waters until they swim out of view.

He WILL find the strangest looking fish and deem it ‘you’, and you will have no say on this subject.

You may, however, find the next strangest fish, and deem it ‘him’, and he will no say on this subject.

This will proceed to go on for about twelve more fish until both parties are smugly grinning like idiots and also pretty much half-scaring the fish outside the window away in their loud but lighthearted banter and joking.

Between all the bright colors of fish through the clear blue water with sun shining down into the water, and the snarky big idiot making comments and starting fun back-and-forth, it’s a really fun thing to do together. Both silly to no end, and relaxing as heck somehow.

Paulie:

Whenever he has a lunch break at work, he takes that as an opportunity to go sit on the edge of the canal and watch fish while he eats. It became so much of a habit that even on days off, he likes to just chill and watch fish during lunch or having a snack. It’s even funner and relaxing with someone to share the time with, so there you go.

You will quickly find that he has affectionately named many of the fish, and can surprisingly spot a new or different one fairly easily since he’s seen them all every day, even if many are of the same species and look extremely alike. He can tell the difference.

He’ll point them all out too ! Calmly tells you their names, and a little fact about that fish.

“That’s Reginald. They won’t eat anything but pricey bread. That’s Talluhlah. She owns the canal pretty much, and won’t let you tell her otherwise. And that’s Jacka*s. He stole my sandwich once.”

If there’s a new fishy face in the water when watching with you, he’ll let you do the honors of giving them a name of your choosing. He’ll suggest ideas until you decide on something, and will from then on never call that fish anything different than what you named it.

He does not know anything about fish species or the actual types that swim by him whenever he’s eating lunch or watching fish with you, and he’s never had much of an interest in learning enough to make the names stick.

He does know, however, that he likes it when blue ones come by, since they blend in fairly well in the canal until they come closer to the surface. He thinks it’s funny how they ‘sneak up’ on the both of you and gets a handful of snickers out of it.

You know those little moments you experience and don’t think too much about in the moment, but think back on and remember it as nothing but vivid fun and happiness, even if it didn’t seem like much, even now? That’s what watching fish in Water 7 with Paulie feels like.

Affectionate X Drake Headcanons

RULES

He is an extremely touchy man. Loves physical affection to no end, admittedly. But typically only when alone with the subject of his affections. At least, that's when he would be at his cuddliest.

If you're alone, he will find wherever it is you're relaxing, sitting, or lying down just chilling out, and he will take over.

You'll let him though. After having to deal with him slinking up to you, leaning as close as he could and burying his face in the crook of your neck; his gentle nuzzles and simply breathing somewhere even just slightly ticklish like your neck making it nearly impossible to focus on whatever it was you were doing prior to being found by him.

If you weren't lying down when he found you, you will be shortly. Whether he gently and slowly pushes you down to lay on the bed or sprawl out on the couch with him, or carefully and silently scoops you up into his arms to hold you, you're going to be resting against him at some point now, and most notably against his chest.

He likes to hold you there, as long as you're willing.

Once he manages to instigate some good cuddling with you, the touchiness doesn't stop there.

He'll be running his hands over your head and neck, carefully not to nick you with his claws even once. Playing with your hair if that's possible, or slowly and gently rubbing his hands over your back and arms.

It's really very nice.

Despite being most physically affectionate when in private quarters, he is still noticeably touchy when in public or around his crew. You just have to pay enough attention to see.

He'll sit right next to you, to the point where the sides of your torsos and legs are touching completely, with the occasional arm of his resting across your shoulders if he feels even more affectionate in the presence of others.

Stands behind you in conversation with you or others, and absentmindedly strokes his hand over your head and across your scalp gently. He isn't doing it on purpose- It's just an unconscious pull to touch you that has him running his fingers across your head in such a relaxing fashion, that you can barely think of anything else besides his touch in the moment.

It's extremely nice, and you're glad it's something he does on the regular, whether you're alone with him and having quality time, or out in public and on the receiving end of those stolen touches and strokes he leaves on you.

You wouldn't have it any other way.

Mama, just killed a maaan--

No but seriously, his S/O just full on one-shot him easy peasy. And I doubt no matter how confident his S/O is in that moment that they realize just how badly they got him.

He was prolly distracted doing something, like looking at a new work order or some other paperwork and just leaned down absentmindedly when his S/O said something about him having something on his face.

Lips touch him and Paulie.exe has stopped working and won't be back working anytime soon.

The second the little smooch is over, he's jumping back up and back, his face more than red, and his cigar dropping out of his mouth onto the ground as he's spluttering.

The second they smile and say 'my lips' about what was on his face, oh heck no-

He just freezes stiff and lets out a high pitched 'h' sound as he's just broken further.

It's gonna be a little while before he even has the brain power to screech at all, or try and fail at covering up just how dang flustered he's gotten. That was a smooth move from the person he least expected it from, so it's completely wrecked him [in a good way!].

Once he's finally, finally managed to calm himself down, it's quiet for a moment... before he leans down super quickly and plants a quick peck on his S/O's forehead. He can't resist returning the affection now that he knows it's okay, even if he is still mentally hollering about what his S/O just pulled over him.

Law:

Good job! You've succeeded in flustering the unflusterable!

He prolly leaned down with an eyebrow arched when he was told that he had something on his face, and was absolutely not expecting anything more than his S/O flicking or grabbing whatever it was off of him. And especially not a kiss of all things--

He likes to consider himself the king on nonchalant and suave, flirty moves, even if he never actually says so out loud, so the fact his S/O just did that to him instead of it getting to be the other way around has absolutely wrecked him! Great!

It will be a bit hard to tell though if you don't see his immediate reaction, he's pretty good at hiding his emotions usually. Initial surprise and his cheeks blushing hard, pulling away at the same time his S/O pulls away. Putting a hand over his mouth and jaw to try and hide his blushing face from his smaller S/O with it, but prolly not succeeding much because his S/O knows what they just did yep.

Has to cough at the 'my lips' remark or else he's going to make an unnatural noise in his surprise because what the actual heck that was smooth, what has gotten into you?!

He tries to make a remark or comment back in return, but he can’t. He opens his mouth and can’t really get any words out because his brain isn’t making them.

Ends up just- sitting down with his face in his hands and a deep sigh. You’d think he’s upset at first glance, but the groan and “Oh my god I think I love you...” he lets out in the next moment lets you know otherwise.

Sanji:

Being suave is his job, how dare you--

His S/O mentions something on his face and he’s already touching his cheek because ‘oh dear, how ungentlemanly of me, my love! Where is-’

Didn’t even see a kiss coming.

The second he’s gently pulled down and kissed though, his mind is just going two hundred miles a second until it just stops altogether and he can’t think of anything else anymore besides ‘I! LOVE! THEM!’ over and over again.

He’s just stood their, full on heart eyes and red face like his whole month has been made, and nothing is going to ever top this moment right here.

His S/O pulls away and tells him that oh, it was just their lips on his face after all- and now Sanji has become a puddle. His knees were already weak at the little kiss, and now he’s just knelt down on the floor and is perfectly happy down there, thank you.

He’s making quiet eeee’ing sounds the whole time, because he can’t even manage to contain his pure excitement and glee and just how much he?? Loves them?? So much??

It’s going to take a lot to get him up off the floor. He’s too busy caught up in the happiness of getting to have such a wonderfully adorable person as his S/O.

OF COURSE!!! Oh my gosh, this one sounds fun as heck! Lets see what we got here...! :D

Sanji:

He’s not too keen on haunted places. Not because he’s scared, but because after everything he already goes through against his will, he would prefer to not add on more weird on top voluntarily.

That’s not to say he wouldn’t come along if asked, he absolutely would. He’s no coward, and also loves hanging out with people in doing what they like to do, or plans they make.

He will eventually get really into it once you’ve been exploring the abandoned or supposedly haunted place for a bit though.

Like- really into it.

Flicks his lighter under his chin to create a spooky glow and muses about any of the place’s history in as chilling of a tone as he can possibly muster, with a straight-faced smirk to boot.

It's going to take a bit of shushing and distraction to get him to stop his nonsense once he's gotten himself going. Either that or you better be ready to let the guy quietly tell spooky stories in that dumb voice the entire time you are there.

He's just a dork really, and he's having fun now, so might as well just let him goof off.

He doesn't get spooked easily, no. But should a creepy crawly come scurrying out from the old architecture, he's gone, good bye.

If there's any left over rickety old furniture where you're exploring, he will be climbing it in the next second with a yell, and then falling off of it the next. After all, it's rickety old furniture. It's not going to handle a tall blonde idiot jumping up on it just because he saw a beetle.

It's fine though, and really fun. Between actually getting to explore someplace supposedly spooky, and hearing him tell somewhat goofy horror stories quietly while you explore, you'll want to do it again very soon with Sanji.

Law:

I think he counts as a haunted place himself.

He also thinks he counts as a haunted place himself.

Honestly, he has no problem exploring possibly haunted places, or old ruins in general. He doesn't spook easily and would sooner scare a ghost with his presence than vice versa.

And he knows it.

Do not- I repeat, do not lose track of him wherever it is you end up going with him when spookiness is involved. You will somewhat regret it when you lose him and then hear quiet whispering from somewhere around the corner, and a door shuts behind you.

Yes, he's trying to scare you. No, he won't go too far. Yes, he will make things randomly float around you or crash into walls with his power. No, you cannot stop him now.

He’ll also be actively pretending he’s not the one causing problems on purpose at this present moment. An old vase will fly harmlessly by your head and he’ll feign looking baffled the second you spin around to scold him for it or tell him to knock it off.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. This place is pretty freaky, isn’t it? Told you we should have just stayed home and watched a movie.”

It’s fun as heck anyway, though. His attempts at adding a scare factor to already spooky places is both hilarious and adorkable, so going to supposedly haunted locations with him is always going to be an absolute blast.

Robin:

Oh my goodness gracious, if you're going to any spooky place or old ruins of a long abandoned site, Robin is somehow the best and the worst person to bring along for the fun.

She loves places like such, and absolutely loves exploring every inch of them if given the chance and time to do so.

She could spend hours in anywhere from the ruins of a lost city, to a library that’s been abandoned for two decades. She's not picky.

Always brings a backpack full of history books local to the area in the hopes that they’ll contain even a little bit of history on wherever it is you end up exploring with her that evening. She likes to read up, even if the place wasn’t even all the notable before it was abandoned or left to haunting rumors.

She’ll absolutely take her time exploring the exterior or outskirts of the spooky location, wanting to know every inch of the place before even setting foot inside, where she’s sure it’s even more interesting.

She will pour herself quietly over any little thing she finds, and relay anything she knows about whatever thing shes discovered back to you.

When she doesn't know anything about something, she'll flip through one of the books she brought to see if it'll help her. And if that fails too, she'll just laugh and ask your opinion on what you think the history was behind something.

It’s fun to debate think back and forth with her on the endless possibilities, even when things can take a morbid turn with her.

Typical theories thrown back and forth together, varying in degrees of absurdity, but relatively tame. But then out of the blue, a morbid murder theory pops up, followed by another more tame idea.

It’s funny as heck, you’ll admit. And honestly? You definitely want to go more spooky places with here. Between the impromptu history lessons, and the hilarious back and forth, it makes for a great little adventure with added spook.

Paulie:

Nothing scares this man.

Well, certain things do, but they’re few and far between. And certainly not supposedly haunted places.

He'll come along with whoever invites him just to hang out or see what the big deal is about, but he's not spooked in the slightest.

Also the perfect guy to ask to come with you if you want to go someplace spooky, but are a bit frightened to do so alone.

He’s got you, don’t worry.

If you take him to a haunted house or ruins of a long gone city, he’ll prolly just wander around to see everything, somewhat boredly. He’ll usually just end up following you around, though, giving you his commentary on things as you explore.

“And what’s behind... door number 3?! A BRAAAND NEWWW SHIP-- Just a rat.”

Any attempts at getting him to stop will not work. If you suggest he shut up, he will ask the nearest beetle for it’s opinion on his commentary and if it thinks he should shut up.

“Paulie Jr says my commentary is wonderful and that I should never stop for anyone. I trust their judgement more than yours” “Paulie please’

Alternatively, though, take him to the remains of a long wrecked ship and he'll be super interested.

He will carefully climb all over it talking about what used to be what back when it was whole, marveling at the remaining details not yet entirely worn away, finding a small piece of wood or rigging on the beach to take home with him that won't be missed for the memory.

He will pretend to be a ghost pirate at some point.

No you cannot stop this.

It’s best you realize by now that you cannot stop Paulie.

To be honest, though, you don’t even really want to. It’s fun, and it lightens the mood drastically, taking any edge of scares off of the adventure and leaves nothing but giggles and exasperation. Is he doing it on purpose for this exact outcome? Who knows, but you do know that it’s something you want to do again very soon.

Lovey-dovey Trafalgar Law Headcanons

To be honest- Good luck with him at first. He can be a pretty dang closed off individual given everything that's happened to him, but also don't worry too much. He'll come around eventually.

When he does, you'll start to notice little things he's started to do, or has done before and is now doing more often.

Getting things his s/o has mentioned wanting; from snacks and other food, to little knick knacks or supplies for any hobbies they may have. And believe him, he keeps mental notes of all their hobbies and likes/dislikes and when they're running low on things they need or like.

He'll absolutely pretend he didn't do it, or he'll pretend someone else on the sub wanted the things as well, so he just went ahead and got them 'for the group'.

He is not slick.

Do not call him out on it, he will be grumpy about it for a week while also actively trying to think up a new thing to do instead that would go relatively unnoticed, unlike what he was just called out on apparently.

Also surprisingly or not, this man really loves to touch.

A quick pat on the shoulder or head in passing as he compliments something they did in battle afterward, to quick but constant little hugs with a peck on their head, to hands running slowly and lightly up arms as he sleepily traces shapes across their skin late into the evening on the Polar Tang still.

He pretends he doesn't know what he's doing- mostly at first, and less later, but still. Feigns ignorance and will absolutely try and flip the situation in the other direction.

"Oh, you mean you don't like it? Well, I'll make sure to avoid it in the future-"

Good luck getting out of that one. No one can without admitting their enjoyment and basically making him the smuggest fricking idiot in the New World in that moment.

He's still super touchy afterward though, and still acts as if he's not doing it on purpose even after flipping the tables on his s/o. But there is now added pride when he's doing his little touches.

If you look at him you will see nothing but a self-pleased grin flashed back at you because he knows there is no winning anymore for his s/o and he's absolutely smug about it even still.

Basically, he is an adorable little nightmare who notices and does all the little things unprompted, and is never short on affection. Even if he is a bit of a goober when giving it.

HOO BOY WELP- HERE YOU GO THEN--

Law and Koby reunion headcanons:

They would recognize each other in a heart beat- Koby sees Law in the paper so often, and Law is pretty good at remembering faces, so neither of them has forgotten the other.

Which... Makes for a comedic reunion to say the least.

Koby angrily saying "YOU!" upon seeing Law VS Law tiredly saying "You." upon seeing Koby. Koby is in a fight stance. Law is rubbing to bridge of his nose.

Luffy is the one who caused this reunion. He didn't know or care about the Rocky Port incident, he just wanted his friend to meet his friend, simply put.

They attempt to fight once, and Luffy just leaves them to it because he thinks they have some stuff to work out. He gets a snack to wait it out while Zoro joins the viewing party because fight.

I don't think Koby could win a fight against Law personally, but I also think neither of them would be able to 'get serious' or anything. Law's one for banter and jabs, and Koby is one to respond, either angrily, or jabbing back. So it would end up more of a back and forth rather than a full blown battle.

Low-key bond over it, and now they have a relationship akin to the two kids in the back seat on a road trip hovering their fingers near each other yelling "I'm not touching you" "HE'S TOUCHING ME"

I do also think they'd get along eventually, and I have been meaning to write a Koby/Luffy fic that's Law and Koby centric. Basically Law finds out about Koby's major crush and won't stop teasing him for it. They bond over Law being a teasing 'jerk' and Koby actually getting advice from the guy. :D
