He is an extremely touchy man. Loves physical affection to no end, admittedly. But typically only when alone with the subject of his affections. At least, that's when he would be at his cuddliest.
If you're alone, he will find wherever it is you're relaxing, sitting, or lying down just chilling out, and he will take over.
You'll let him though. After having to deal with him slinking up to you, leaning as close as he could and burying his face in the crook of your neck; his gentle nuzzles and simply breathing somewhere even just slightly ticklish like your neck making it nearly impossible to focus on whatever it was you were doing prior to being found by him.
If you weren't lying down when he found you, you will be shortly. Whether he gently and slowly pushes you down to lay on the bed or sprawl out on the couch with him, or carefully and silently scoops you up into his arms to hold you, you're going to be resting against him at some point now, and most notably against his chest.
He likes to hold you there, as long as you're willing.
Once he manages to instigate some good cuddling with you, the touchiness doesn't stop there.
He'll be running his hands over your head and neck, carefully not to nick you with his claws even once. Playing with your hair if that's possible, or slowly and gently rubbing his hands over your back and arms.
Despite being most physically affectionate when in private quarters, he is still noticeably touchy when in public or around his crew. You just have to pay enough attention to see.
He'll sit right next to you, to the point where the sides of your torsos and legs are touching completely, with the occasional arm of his resting across your shoulders if he feels even more affectionate in the presence of others.
Stands behind you in conversation with you or others, and absentmindedly strokes his hand over your head and across your scalp gently. He isn't doing it on purpose- It's just an unconscious pull to touch you that has him running his fingers across your head in such a relaxing fashion, that you can barely think of anything else besides his touch in the moment.
It's extremely nice, and you're glad it's something he does on the regular, whether you're alone with him and having quality time, or out in public and on the receiving end of those stolen touches and strokes he leaves on you.
You wouldn't have it any other way.
