hello chat. how would you like gunhaus quadrants ship chart for like probs the one or two people on here who understand quadrants from homestuck and know gunhaus.
understand that im a flush polyhaus shipper more than anythings else, but these are sub dynamics they can smear into
FAHC big interconnect open polycule vs Gunhaus closed all dating polycule
The thing abt pale killemses is that it's Adam pale w/ both for them at once and vice-versa, but i don't think James & Elyse would be truly pale for Adam if it's not a team up. Moreover, James and Elyse are not pale, Adam is the pale hinge.
Peakevic is the most smeary when it comes to the flush vs pale dynamic. They're closer to moisprites than true vacillation.
Where as killemses are 100% flipping. Mostly flush, but by god is there moments where there are overwhelming pity in response to a specific event. Their pale feelings need a trigger.
Greentagg pitch because the Bruce is the boss but Lars is the backbone of the vees crew; with him in charge of the accounts and a lot of the behind the scenes stuff.
Butting heads, but not cos they are actually arguing, but because they both respect how important each other to keeping the crew running; plus man is hate sex a great stress relief. Because they're such a soft pitch, they don't need an ash.
Grillems on the other absolutely need an ash because otherwise they are a hazard to everything & one around them. They are the worst pitch couple in terms of egging each other on.
And peaketagg cos i love hacker x hacker pitch ships (it's also why i ship pitch mattvin)
Small prompt, Matt and Adam cuddling and watching cutthroat kitchen <3 -L
Ahhhh L thank you!!! (sorry this is like 7 years late) Also I have never seen Cutthroat kitchen so this is more based on every other cooking show i have seen so i hope it fits. <3
fluffy drabble under the cut
Matt adores evenings in with Adam.
Despite the fact theyspend every evening together they aren’t always spending it together. They playdifferent games on their different set ups, watch different shows and spendmost of their evening being together without doing things together. It worksperfectly, sometimes they are playing Overwatch with James sand Lawrencetogether other times, other times Matt is watching UFC while Adam edits videosfor his personal YouTube. However, they try to at least spend whole eveningsdoing something together at least 3 to 4 times a week. They watch films or TVusually, Adam wrapped around Matt like a warm cocoon. It’s peaceful andrelaxing and Matt soaks up every second of it.
Unless they are watching Cutthroat Kitchen. Because if theyare watching Cutthroat Kitchen then it is pretty much impossible to cuddle upto Adam. Watching Adam watching that show is like watching a sports fanwatching their team lose. Matt doesn’t mind, it’s quite amusing to watch Adamcurse at the contestants as they cut it close to the time limits. He used totry cuddling with him but Adam fidgets as the tense music plays, flings hisarms out in disbelief so suddenly that his once smacked Matt square in the jaw(an interesting bruise to explain the guys at work the following morning.)
Matt watches from a safe distance as Adam intently stares atthe screen. Completely absorbed in the drama as the contestants rush around tocomplete the challenge. Honestly Matt wasn’t paying attention to the screen butto the man next to him. Sat up straight, completely engrossed in the show Mattcould see the passion and excitement in Adam. Watching him finding enjoymentfilled Matt’s being with a gentle warmth, full adoration for his boyfriend. Itmade Matt smile to see Adam like this. It was the same feeling he got when hewatched Adam playing games, his tongue poking out of his lips slightly inconcentration, the happiness of the celebration when he got past a difficultlevel.
Matt snaps out of his thoughts as Adam shouts in disbelieffor what feels like the 5th time this episode.
“Can’t you believe it? 10 minutes left and his hasn’t evenput it in the fucking oven. What an idiot.”
Matt laughs gently. Adam tears his eyes away from the screenlonging enough to shoot Matt a raised eyebrow. “I know babe, it’s ridiculous.Like you when you watch this.”
“Well I can’t help it, this show is ridiculous, this peopleare ridiculous. It’s contagious!” Adam declares. He turns back to watch as thetimer runs out and the dishes are presented.
After the credits role Adam leans back into the sofa. “Icould never be on that show. So much pressure.” Matt leans over to settlehimself against Adam’s side, now that it was safe.
“You also can’t cook.”
“Hey!” Matt shoots him a pointed look. “Okay that may be acompletely fair statement.”
Matt chuckles as Adam wraps his arm around Matt’s shoulder, bringing him in close and places a kiss to the top of his forehead.
“I still love you even if you are a terrible cook.”
“Gee thanks, you’re such a romantic Peake.”
“I do what I can.” He shrugs before resting his head on Adam’sshoulder. HE reaches round to grab Adam’s hand, lacing their fingers together. He can’t help the small smile as he feels Adam squeeze his hand.
“What do you want to watch now?”
“I don’t mind, but something that won’t potentially injureme while we watch.” Matt feels the vibrations of Adam laughing.
“Good idea. A film.” Matt nods in response, leaving Adam in chargeof flicking through Netflix as he snuggles in close, freeing Adam’s hand to lethim surf through choices, listening as he debates with himself over the filmshe looks through. Once Adam finally picks something his hands finds Matt’sagain, brushing his thumb over the back of Matt’s hand as they settle in for alight hearted film that one, or both, of them will fall asleep to by the end ofthe movie.
I finally finished it! Not going to lie this one got away from me a little. I went with a Fakehaus au so if that’s not you cup of tea let me know and I’ll redo this prompt for you :). Also I had no idea how to end this.

The sun set an hour ago but Adam still hadn't venturedinside. He was stood on the balcony of the penthouse apartment that wastechnically his but it had long since become the crew's. It was where they madetheir plans, it was where they hung out after a heist, where they licked theirwounds if shit went down. It was their home.
But to Adam it hadn't felt like home in a week. 7 long daysof waking up in an empty bed, a coldness to the sheets that seeped into Adam'sbones. The emptiness flooding into his mind.
The first two days were spent ignoring it, getting on withhis life and pushing the emptiness to the back of his mind. He didn't talkabout it to anyone, even when they asked he just shrugged them off and they lethim. He did his work, socialised with his friends and did all the sameactivities he did every day. But the emptiness could only be held back for solong.
Day 3 was spent in his bed, not moving for anything. Theemptiness now taking the form of sadness. He stared at the ceiling for hoursupon end before decided the ceiling had been studied enough and then studiedthe wall instead. Food and water was brought to him thanks to caring crewmembers but it was barely touched.
Day 4 was a day of anger. It burst out of him like fire, consuming and burning everything in his path. Picture frames smashed, mirrorsshattered. Doors slammed, screaming, shouting, cursing heard throughout thepenthouse. When the penthouse had taken all it could, all the possessionssmashed, all the residents hidden away from the rampaging anger then it wastime to turn to the city. His favourite pistol tucked into his jeans, one oftheir spare cars absent from its normal space in the garage. Reports ofgunshots, explosions and chaos occupied the news station for hours. At the endof all, when the anger and rage had washed away, when the exhaustion set inAdam watched the car burn on the side of Chiliad, flames dancing, smokedispersing into the atmosphere and the soft crackling of the paint bubbling, ofthe plastic burning.
Day 5 was spent apologising half-heartedly to the crew, spent apathetically cleaning up the mess he had made and spent in an uneasysilence. It was much like day 3 expect he refused to step into the bedroom, instead spending his time in the kitchen, the living room. Everywhere else butthe bedroom. Day 5 could also be referred to as the day Adam gave up. The dayAdam resigned himself to the fact he was gone.
Day 6 was the day the rest of them snapped. The day whereJames sped off on his bike, helmet hiding the determined scowl etched into hisfeatures. Lawrence disappeared as well returning hours later smelling of cheapliquor. The faraway smell of smoke escaping from Sean’s room. The coddling fromElyse, her constant hovering around Adam. Playing Halo just to try to draw aconversation from him not bothering to hide her disappointment when she failed.Bruce left for several hours in the evening, coming home with bruised andbroken knuckles. Joel locked himself away, the muffled sound of music and itcan be guaranteed that his stash will be several lines lighter by the end ofthe evening. Adam witnessed the crew falling to pieces around him. He knew heshould do something, be there for them, act like a leader but he couldn’t. Theemptiness wrapped tight around his mind, his body. Constricting him. Consuminghim.
Now here Adam was on day 7, out on the balcony with a packof cigarettes that was getting lighter and lighter. Smoke one, stub it out andrepeat. Hands gripped onto the railing tightly to stop the shaking. His phoneleft forgotten on the kitchen counter. No one approached him, he coulddistantly hear members of his crew, his family, going about their days behindhim. James still hadn’t returned. Adam should probably be concerned, shouldprobably check his phone. Maybe even call him but instead here he was half apack of cigarettes down with the sun setting on the horizon, casting the citybelow him in an orange glow.
The sound of the front door opening didn’t concern him, remaining unmoving but the sound of glass shattering broke through hisself-absorbed haze. Turning towards to living room his hand clenched around thecigarette packing as his eyes took in the scene in front of him.
There stood fucking Matt Peake. The man who disappeared off7 days prior, the source of the damning emptiness that had swallowed up Adam’smind and heart. There he fucking was, glaring at James who had his arm in adeath grip. Joel in the kitchen, the remains of a glass shattered around him, left forgotten as his eyes flickered from James to Matt to Adam and back toMatt. The atmosphere incredibly tense as Adam stared at the man who left him, leftthem without so much as a goodbye.
Once the initial shock had worn off Adam took a stepforward. Then another. The steps echoed in the quiet room, Matt abandoned hisstaring match with James, shoulders tensing up further as Adam drew closer andcloser to the pair.
Adam didn’t look at James as he spoke. “James, leave us.”James barely got two words into a rebuttal before the glare from Adam shut himup. With one final glare at Matt he let go of his arms, him and Joel wanderingdown the hallway. Adam waited until he heard the click of a door shut beforeturning to Matt.
“You left.” Matt didn’t answer. “I woke up and you weregone.” Nothing. “You just fucking left.”
Matt was finally looking at him now but his silence wasdeafening. He finally comes back and he has nothing to say. Adam wanted topunch the man, break his nose, spill some blood but what good would that do.
“Do you even realise how much that fucking hurt? To find yougone with no note, no text. If you wanted to leave Peake then a note would havebeen nice. It’s a common fucking curtesy.”
“I know.” His voice barely more than a whisper. His tonebetraying his as usual stony facial expression.
“If you want to just fucking go, then go right now. I’mgiving you the chance to leave, no questions asked. Just walk out that door nowPeake.”
Peake frowned, his façade slipping as Adam watched theflicker of hurt in his eyes.
“No.”
“Why not, you left before? Why is it different now Matt? It’spretty fucking obvious that you didn’t come back of your own will.” Adamcrossed his arms. He couldn’t help the venom in his voice. Channelling hisemotions into anger rather than having an actual break down in front of theman. He wanted to, he wanted to scream, to cry, to punch Matt in his stupidface. Matt seemed conflicted, words never came easily to him especially attimes like this. Adam waited, waited for Matt to turn and walk out of the door, out of their lives and out of his. He waited and waited but it never came.
Instead he got a quiet whisper. “I can’t.” Adam was about toask what exactly it was that Matt couldn’t do but Matt beat him to it. “I can’tleave. I thought I could but I can’t. I was wrong.”
“Wrong about what exactly? I still don’t know why you didit.”
Matt shrugged. “I was scared.” The statement echoed inAdam’s mind. Scared. He was scared. Scared of what. It wasn’t until Matt wasanswering him that he realised he was said it out loud. “Scared of us Adam. When I came here, when you hired me I was only supposed to be your sniper. Inever meant to get this close. You guys were never supposed to become myfriends, you were never supposed to more than my boss but things changed. Youguys drew me in, you drew me in. I found myself wanting to spend more timearound you, be with you. Then we started whatever it is between us. I was neversupposed to get this involved.” Adam stood shocked. Whatever it was he wasn’texpecting Matt to open up so much, usually a man of few words but here he wasspilling thoughts and feelings. “I was never supposed to fall for you.”
“So you left.” Matt sighed and nodded. He ran his fingersthrough his hair.
“It was too much, it kind of hit me all at once and I didn’tknow how to handle it. I’ve never let anybody get so close to me like you do,I’ve never had someone like you in my life and it scared me so I ran. I ranaway from it. I thought it would be easy, that I could forget and move on butthen James found me. I didn’t hide myself well, didn’t drop off the radar asmuch as I should have. I’m not sure I really wanted to. He was pissed, startedshouting at me and dragged me back here. “
“So what you’re telling me is you figured out that you loveme, freaked out and ran away.”
“Basically.”
“You’re a fucking idiot.”
“I know” Adam sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. Heshould still be mad, he was still mad but Matt was here now, he was standingright in front of him. Matt eyed Adam warily. Having never been in a situationlike this he didn’t really know what the social protocol was, should he saysomething or just wait? He elected on waiting mostly because that involved himstaying quiet, already have spoken more than he had in the past week. It wasthe most he had ever talked about his feelings. Matt had been in plenty of dangeroussituations, some harrowing positions but never had he felt as vulnerable as hedoes in this moment.
“Do you want to stay?” Matt nodded. “What about us, do youwant to be with me? Properly this time, not whatever confusing mess we werebefore.”
“Yes. I do. Do you still want me?” Matt spoke the last partof the sentence sheepishly, not bothering to mask the worried anticipation hefelt. Nervous for Adam’s answer, nervous about how he had fucked up, fucked upso badly that he wasn’t sure what Adam even wanted him anymore.
Adam’s eyes softened. It was rare to see Matt like this. Theonly times he ever came close to seeing Matt like this, nervous, scared, hurtwas the nights after a heist gone wrong, the nights after one of their own hadhad a close call, a bullet that strayed too close to being fatal. Those nightsstill didn’t compare to seeing Matt’s face so openly exhibiting his emotions. No mask, no stoic face hiding turmoil and fear, completely and unabashedlybaring his emotions for Adam to see. He took a step towards Peake, closing thegap between them.
Wrapping his arms around Matt he whispered. “Of course I do.”He both felt and heard the sigh of relief. Matt slowly brought his arms up toreturn the embrace. Adam brought his lips to connect with Peake’s own, the kissbringing him back home. The apartment finally feeling like home again as theyslowly moved their lips against each other. They broke apart with soft smiles.
“I’m so sorry.”
“Look I don’t want you to spend the next few weeksapologising to me all the time. I’m not going to lie to you Matt, I’m stillhurt and it’s probably going to take some time but we’ll work through it. I’mpretty sure we’ve been through worse. It hurts but I’m not mad anymore” Mattchuckled. “Oh, but I can’t speak for the rest of the crew, have fun dealingwith that one.”
“it’s 4am and i’m drunk as fuck in a mcdonalds and you have been watching me try to eat this burger for 30 minutes” – grillems [with a little bit of peakevic] – college!au
[this was much longer than i thought it would be, but i hope you enjoy it anyway!]
bruce doesn’t know how he got here.
okay, well, hold on. he knows. kind of.
he was at a house party down the road, some frat shindig that he somehow got invited to with matt peake, his roommate. well, matt peake was invited and wanted bruce to come along, although he’s not sure why. matt’s not a frat guy, has never been interested in them and is certainly not a huge party guy, but he thought it would be fun and that they should go.
as soon as they got there, bruce found out exactly why matt wanted to go; he spotted adam kovic, another student who lives in across the hall in their dorm. he was sitting and talking to lawrence sonntag, who is adam’s roommate, and they were kind of off to the side. they’re all friendly with each other since they’re neighbors, but matt may have a little, tiny crush on adam. he’s usually a quiet guy, keeps to himself, but bruce knows that matt tends to talk a little bit more when adam’s around. when bruce saw them, he threw up his hands and glared at matt. “dammit, matt, really?”
“what?” he questioned, trying his best to look innocent at bruce’s outburst.
he sighed, not having the heart to argue with him. “fine. but you better not ditch me, peake.”
“i’d never.”
that didn’t last long.
they all ended up drinking and talking together for a while, sharing lots of laughs, with lawrence and bruce nudging each other any time adam and matt looked at each other with small smiles. unfortunately, once bruce went to the bathroom for only a few minutes while lawrence went to get another drink, they returned to find matt and adam lip-locked on the couch.
“goddammit,” bruce mumbled. he shook his head but couldn’t help but wear a small smile. matt’s a shy guy and bruce is glad that he had the confidence to step up his game and finally do something about his crush instead of stare from afar.
but then he was kind of ditched, like matt said he wouldn’t do. when lawrence came back with a new drink and stood next to bruce, he followed his gaze and sighed. “goddammit,” lawrence said.
“i know,” bruce replied. “i mean, at least it happened. but now we’re fucked.”
lawrence nodded before glancing over at bruce. “we can get wasted, if you want.”
bruce hummed, silent for a moment before responding. “yeah, let’s do that.”
which leads bruce to where he is now. quite wasted at a mcdonalds down the road from the party, staring at the quarter pounder burger that he ordered. he’s alone, having lost lawrence at some point while he was still at the house. he socialized a little bit with some other students he recognized, but was ultimately bored and starving and someone told him that there was this mcdonalds that’s walking distance from the party.
he blinks slowly as he eats his fries and stares at his burger. he’s enjoying the fries so much that he’s not sure if he should even eat the burger. maybe the fries will be enough. but the burger also looks really good.
he picks it up and spins it around in his hand, wondering where he should bite first. he’s a fan of pickles, so he’d definitely enjoy if his first bite included a pickle or two. but he’s sure he wouldn’t be upset if it didn’t. he puts the burger back down on the wrapper and goes back to staring at it, grabbing some more fries to eat.
bruce isn’t sure what time it is or how he’s going to get home, but is startled when someone approaches the table. they sit down and bruce jumps, blinking to regain focus and look at the guy in front of him. he’s… buff as all hell, dirty blond hair, and the brightest blue eyes bruce has ever seen in his life. he has a worried look on his face, but no one has said anything and they’re just staring at each other.
bruce blinks again before the guy speaks. “are you alright?”
he blinks again. “me?”
the guy looks left and right, as if there’s anyone else sitting near them before turning back to bruce. “yes, you, the only guy over here,” he responds. “you don’t look alright, man.”
“what? why?”
“well, you’ve been staring at that burger for almost 30 minutes now like it’s poisoned or it killed your entire family or something,” he tells him. “and you’ve been eating your french fries with great care.”
bruce brings his attention back to the burger for a moment, thinks about actually picking it up to eat it, but grabs a french fry instead. he holds it out to the guy. “want one?”
he huffs out a laugh, covering his mouth as he shakes his head. “no thanks, i already ate my food instead of giving it the staredown of a lifetime.” he leans an elbow on the table and rests his chin in his palm. “how did you get here?”
“walked.”
“from where?”
“party.”
“do you have a car?”
“nope.”
“are you drunk?”
“yep.”
“do you need a ride?”
bruce slowly munches on a fry, narrowing his eyes at his company. “why would you drive me anywhere?”
“because you look like a sad, lost man who needs some water and a warm bed,” he smirks, and, well, he’s not wrong.
bruce weighs his options. he could call matt, but he’s still probably with adam and he would totally beat himself up for interrupting and potentially ruining something. he never got lawrence’s number, so that’s out of the question. this guy doesn’t look like a serial killer, might be way too handsome to do something like that, but he’s still a stranger. but bruce still doesn’t have a way home besides calling a cab and he’s not sure if he has enough money to get back to campus anyway. damn him and his hunger.
he pushes around some of his french fries before mumbling, “that would be nice of you. if you could drive me back to campus, i mean.”
“i can do that,” he grins before standing up from his seat. “c'mon, let’s go. and wrap that burger back up; i have a feeling that you’ll eat it eventually.”
bruce takes his time (mostly because he’s pretty drunk and he doesn’t want to embarrass himself any further than he already has by being alone in a mcdonalds at god knows what time in the morning), wraps the burger back up and stands up to throw out the rest of his trash.
he follows the guy over to a couple of blond girls, who are looking at the two of them humorously. “i’m gonna drive this kid to campus because he’s drunk and has no other way home and clearly has no friends.”
bruce opens his mouth to argue, but he’s kind of right.
“aaalrighty then,” one of the girls say while the other laughs. “guess we’re leaving.”
“it’s 4 in the morning, elyse, how much longer did you want to stay at mcdonalds for?” he questions, pulling out his keys.
“well, if i had the option to stay longer, maybe i would’ve!” she counters, although she’s laughing, as well. they collect their things and throw out their trash and bruce follows the three of them outside.
the girls sit in the back seat, forcing bruce to sit in the passenger seat while the guy climbs in the driver. he places the burger in his lap and crosses his arms, keeping his gaze out the window since he’s not exactly sure what he should talk about with three strangers in a car.
bruce feels his phone vibrate in his pocket and he shifts to pull it out. the burger on his lap almost falls, so he snatches it and begins juggling the two before he’s able to control himself. there’s a snort to his left and bruce half-heartedly glares at the guy before answering his phone.
“‘lo?”
“bruce? where are you?” matt asks on the other end.
“in a car. goin’ back to campus.”
“in a car? you’re not driving, are you?!”
“no, no, i’m not. gettin’ a ride.”
“from who?” he questions, curiosity in his tone.
“uh…” bruce looks over at the driver, who’s name he never got. he tilts the phone away from his mouth a bit before asking, “i’m sorry, but what’s your name?”
he hears matt yell 'bruce!’ through the phone while his driver laughs before answering, “james. my name is james.”
“james,” he repeats, keeping his gaze on him while he brings the phone back. “james is giving me a ride back to campus.”
“goddammit, bruce,” matt sighs, and bruce can only imagine the disappointed head shake that he’s doing. “well, as long as you’re safe. i’m, uh, staying at adam’s tonight, so i’ll see you tomorrow.”
“mmkay, matt peake,” bruce says. “be safe. use protection. love you.”
matt chuckles through the phone. “thanks, bruce. love you too.”
they hang up and bruce leans his head back against the rest, closing his eyes. he’s happy for matt, glad that he’s probably going to get laid, but now bruce wishes he was getting laid tonight, too. he hasn’t gotten any in a long time.
james’ voice brings him out of his head. “where on campus do you live?”
bruce opens his eyes and notices that they’re pulling into the college. “uh, the laurel dorms,” he answers, clearing his throat.
“oh, nice, so do we. what floor?”
“8th.”
james nods. “we live on 3rd. probably why i’ve never seen you before.”
he parks his car and they all clammer out, elyse telling james that she and barbara (bruce presuming it’s the other blond girl) are heading to another friend’s dorm and that they’ll be back late. they say goodbye and go their separate ways, james and bruce heading inside their dorm and towards the elevator. bruce is clutching his burger in one hand and his student id in the other, more than thankful he never lost it during his drunken journey tonight.
when they get in the elevator, james only hits the 8th floor button and not his own. bruce gives him a confused look, but james only replies with, “gotta make sure you make it safely to your room. don’t want you to fall and bust your head open.”
“that’s… unlikely,” bruce says.
“but possible.”
when the elevator opens up, james follows bruce as he heads down the hall to his dorm. he’s more than excited to pass the hell out in bed. maybe he’ll even eat this burger beforehand.
bruce stops at his dorm and turns to look at james, who’s hands are in his pockets. “so, uh,” he starts, “thanks for the ride. that was… really nice of you.”
james nods. “no problem, man. just being the friendly neighborhood guy who picks drunk people up from mcdonalds and drives them home. it’s kind of my thing,” he shrugs nonchalantly.
this makes bruce laugh and shake his head because this guy–no, james, he’s too funny for his own good. “well, thanks, friendly neighborhood james. definitely needed it.”
he’s not sure what else to say, so he turns to use his id to open the door. when he does, james take a tentative step forward. “hey, uh, do you have a pen and paper i can borrow really quick?” he asks.
bruce furrows his eyebrows in confusion, but nods anyway. “uh, yeah, sure. come in.” he pushes the door open and lets james follow him inside. he turns on the lights in the common area and walks (slightly stumbles, with one hand dragging on the wall for support) to his room. he turns on that light and drops the burger and his id on his desk before snagging his post-it notes and a pen.
james is looking around bruce’s room when he holds out the requested items. “thanks,” he smiles, taking them in his own hands.
bruce watches him scribble something down before handing it back to bruce, who’s still confused, but takes them anyway. he looks down at the post-it, seeing a phone number and 3 digits below that.
“my dorm number,” james answers, bringing bruce’s attention back to him. “in case you wanted to get breakfast tomorrow to sooth your impending hangover.”
“oh,” is all bruce can say.
he laughs again and bruce thinks that he’d definitely like to hear him do that tomorrow. bruce hopes he can make him laugh like that.
“text me tomorrow when you wake up, alright?”
bruce nods frantically and james grins, taking slow steps backwards to head out. “i will,” he affirms.
“good. well, have a good night.” james sends a wink his way before he leaves bruce’s room and the dorm, the door shutting echoing through the apartment.
bruce stares down at the phone number and can’t help but grin. he moves to sit at his desk and sets the post-it aside before grabbing his burger to enjoy before bed. he certainly appreciates it more now than he did before.
Are you still doing the ship thing? :) If so, could you do Matt/Adam?
Of course!!
shops for groceries
Adam likes to do it so Peake will have one less thing to think about during the day/week. If Matt needs anything special he’ll jot down a little list for Adam who will including with their normal order.
kills the spiders
Neither of them are overly bothered by spiders though Adam doesn’t like it if they are in the bedroom during the night so just whoever spots it gets rid of it.
comes home drunk at 3am
Adam. However he is a very considerate drunk and doesn’t make as much noise as you think he would make when he comes in drunk though Matt will still wake up because he never really falls into a deep sleep if he knows Adam is out for the night. Adam will stumble into bed and talk nonsense for a while before falling asleep mid conversation.
makes breakfast
Peake does. Neither of them are morning people but Matt is definitely better than Adam. Adam will shuffle about like a zombie until he’s had coffee. Peake will normally wake up first and starts the coffee machine for Adam, showers and ten start breakfast will it not really anything spectacular. Normally some form of eggs with toast on the side. Some mornings Peake really can’t be bother so they’ll have cereal or get something on the way to work.
remembers to feed the fish
I really can’t see them having a fish but if they did probably Peake. Adam would probably forget that it exists because he didn’t want one in the first place.
decorates the apartment really because it wasn’t either of them.
Well here’s the thing. It was Joel. They have some stuff. Memoribilia and photos etc but one day Joel came round, huffed at the lack of style in the room and a week later came back room with random decorative shit. Stuff wooden pieces, some ‘art’ that doesn’t look like anything. Adam complained a lot at first but he had to admit it did make the place like more homely and over time he gradually started adding stuff that he picked out. Peake wasn’t really bothered either way but he likes the way Adam will find stuff that isn’t too much for them but still fits so well with the feel of the apartment.
initiates duets
Adam most of the time. Though not on purpose. He’ll sing along to the radio on the way to work and then he’ll notice Matt singing along as well. Adam will get louder, trying to encourage Matt and they’ll spend the whole journey singing to each other.
However Matt is a shower singer. He never sings loudly but sometimes in the morning Adam will walk past the door and just faintly here it. He’ll start singing along while doing whatever it was that he was doing so that when Matt walks out of the bathroom they’ll be and the same part (though probably off by a little).
falls asleep first
Peake does. Adam’s insomnia will keep him up for ages and Peake will try to keep him company for as long as he can. Listening to him talk about whatever until Adam will hear him softly snoring from his position against his chest. It makes him smile because Matt is often tired from work but he still makes the effort to try and be there for Adam when his brain just won’t shut off for him to sleep.
Anyone else notice how in the latest Battlefront gameplay Adam told Peake to follow him and stay close and he did in pretty much every game they played.
Rating: T (I guess, there’s references to sex but nothing shocking)
Word Count: 746
Summary: Just a little drabble about Adam and Matt in the morning because I was thinking about Matt wearing Adam’s hoodie for some reason.
Adam was never really a morning person but the mornings where Matt stayed over made him like them a little bit better.
Matt would always wake up first and after basking in the blissful moments between waking up and getting up would gently nudge Adam. Not quite enough to wake him but enough to get him stirring so he could wake up soon.
Matt was rarely still in bed when Adam did finally crack his eyes open. The muffled sound of whistling and the smell of coffee floating in the air telling him that Matt was in the kitchen. Adam would always try to sneak a few more moments sleep before Matt would be back to get him up. Stretching out on the bed and relaxing into the pillows.
When he next opened his eyes a warm smile would grace his lips despite the fact he did not want to be up. Matt standing in the doorway in nothing but his boxers and one of Adam’s hoodies unzipped was too good as a sight to not smile at, especially when he had a mug of coffee in his hands.
“Coffee?” Matt’s voice slightly husky from sleep still, sending a slight shiver down Adam’s spine. He sat up in the bed and groaning as his back clicked.
“Please.” Hands outstretched in a gimme motion. Matt chuckling slightly as he walked over to the bed, giving Adam the coffee and sitting on the edge of the bed. Adam sipped the hot drink slowly, sighing into the mug. “You are an angel, Peake”
Matt laughs at that. “Not sure an angel would do what we did last night.” Adam smiles. He had a point. He takes this moment to lazily gaze over to half dressed man in front of him. Adam can see the hickies decorating his body, the deepest purple ones on his chest. The ones on his necks slightly lighter, not as noticeable but definitely there. Matt’s leaning back on his hands and Adam’s can see the finger shaped bruise on his hips. He smirks into his next sip of coffee. Then again he’s probably not in a much better shape, he can feel the scratches on his back, the bruises on his shoulders.
Setting down his coffee, he grabs Matt’s arms, pulling him in close and claiming his lips with his own. The kiss is deep but soft and Adam can feel Matt smile into it slightly. Matt pulls back but doesn’t go far.
“You need to get ready.” Adam responds by pulling back in for another kiss, a different kind of kiss from before. He nips playfully at Matt’s lips, his hands finding their way to the back of Matt’s neck and pulling him closer. Matt melted into the kiss but after a few moments when Adam hand’s had started to wander down to his chest he pulled back again.
“No we need to get ready and go to work.” Adam smirks back at him.
“Or we could stay in bed a bit longer.” He replies, dipping down to Matt’s neck to place gentle kisses and bites there. Matt sighs happily.
“Adam we’ll be late.”
“Don’t care” He mumbles into his neck, hands lightly teasing the skin just under Matt’s waistband.
It did take much more convincing before Matt relented. Not long before Adam was fisting his hands into his sheets, moans echoing around the bedroom.
“Ah so you guys finally decide to show up.” Bruce grinned at them from James’ desk.
“Yeah sorry, woke up late.”
“Hmmm sure.”
“Anyone else notice a correlation between Matt and Adam coming in together and Adam waking up late.” Lawrence added, looking smug from his desk.
“Okay you caught us. Look, you’ve seen Peake in the morning, it’s hard to resist.”
“Yes but none of us are late to work because of it. If you’re going to fuck in the morning then wake up earlier!” Peake shook his head as he walked to his desk while Adam bickered with the others. Spoole snuck over from his desk to wrap his arms around Peake’s shoulders as he sat down.
“Do you think Bruce is forgetting how bad he is with Joel?”
“Yup. Adam’s still probably at little hazy, he’ll remember soon.” Sean giggled, Matt turning slightly to give him a peck on the cheek. “Mine tonight?”
Sean nodded enthusiastically. “Cool.” Matt smiled.
