“Do you know what’s on the other side of fear? More life” -Rocky So let me tell you a little about my experience about living (and loving) on an island for 30 days. When I got to the volunteer base, they asked me to be a driver because I met the qualifications (being an old head with a license😂). Which meant I had to drive the volunteers to and from the work sites daily. The perks of being a driver was that after work and weekend, I was able to drive where and whenever I wanted to; as long as I was back before curfew. (Yes curfew was necessary because we worked long hard days.) It took me 2 weeks to take my road test because of fear. Fear of driving on the left side of the road. Fear because I would have to be responsible of other people in the car (especially after my accident a few years ago.) scared because the roads were mountains 🏔 ! I was tired of having to depend on people to get to where and when I wanted to go. Although hitchhiking was fun (yes hitchhiking is safe out there💁🏽♀️) I wanted to do things on my own time as well as my laundry😂. I took my road test and to my surprise I loved driving on the left side more than the right. Driving up mountains were fun because it was like a video game. I was able to pick up hitchhikers, help people and see so much more of the Island, beaches and life! I almost let fear get in the way of experiencing things differently! When was the last time you’ve done something different for the 1st time? Take risks, do things that may scare you, you’d be surprised of how much life is on the other side of fear🙏🏽💛! #AdventuresWithRocky #morelife #peaklifeexperience #usvi #stJohns #islandlife #liveYourOnlyLife #hoochiebraidsbyjess (at Saint John, U.S. Virgin Islands) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0RZ9ytFYyo/?igshid=qasq4schj6ye
