A Rare Snoopy

I treat LOTS of Snoopys.  Most are about 18-24″ tall, white with black ears and a pompom type nose.  They turn gray and need baths, their heads are a bit heavy so they frequently have neck injuries that require internal reinforcement, and sometimes external new fur.  Their ears lose their lining.  But there are so many Snoopys out there that even though I love him (I actually have a Snoopy License Plate!) I don’t usually write about them.  

But this year I had a new very old Snoopy come to the hospital and he was a rare one.  He’s pink!  And I don’t mean the pale pink Snoopy they sell for little girls.  He is a deep magenta pink with black ears.  His nose and eyes are felt, and his mouth was supposed to be too, but it was missing.  Snoopy’s person’s daughter was the one who sent these diagnosis photos:

We agreed that Snoopy would come to the hospital for wound repair, scar minimization, a new smile, and a spa.  It was very important that he keep his eyes and nose as is.

His ears were cleaned separately to avoid running.

Here he is getting his heart.  I didn’t have a pink Snoopy fabric, but I thought the red was appropriate too. :-).  You can also see how his stuffing had aged over the years.

Then it was on to surgeries... wound repair, scar minimization, eye socket tightening, new dark smile with a red tongue, and original eyes and nose.  Here’s Snoopy all better!

 I got two responses when Snoopy got home.  The first was from the person who sent him to me (Snoopy’s person’s daughter):

Thank you so so much! My mom got Snoopy back and she is thrilled with the results! She is so happy to have him back and you did a great job! Is there any place for us to write a great review for future clients? We would love to write one for you! Thank you again!!!

The second was from Snoopy’s person herself:

I receive my snoopy in the mail yesterday. I want to thank you so much for taking such good care of him and making him look like I remember. I know  my daughter emailed you about how happy I am so whatever we can do to give you a good review we will.Thank you again.
