where did you go when you left this planet?
#pearl ryder#mass effect#mass effect andromeda#my art#its been interesting to come up with a character who has a completely different method of dealing with the guilt and grief#than the game wants her to#after fighting for her fathers attention love + approval her entire life she almost feels a sense of being cheated out of something#she's grieving for her father but in a sense she's also grieving for the part of her that has been irreparably damaged by him#that will never quite be vindicated#and its a sort of turning point where she suddenly has all this drive and this anger and nowhere to put it#and under the pressure of her role as pathfinder she can either let it crystalise into something hard and ugly#or she can push it into new growth#and of course there is always growing pain#this strange sense of trying to grow to fill a vacuum before you can be suffocated by it essentially#idk it was just a theme i wanted to toy with#im not naturally an artist so im rly proud of this and would appreciate sum reblogs#queue
