Slightly out of focus black Tahitian pearls I restrung yesterday
Pearl restringing job. Black pearls knotted, white ones not.
Cultured Pearls and Chalcedony
I need to run seminars for jewelry store owners on How to Take In a Pearl Strand that needs restringing.
DID YOU ASK THE CUSTOMER:
I see these pearls were not knotted. Do you know if you managed to pick the all up?
How long was this before it broke (if they even know, they can point to where it fell on their neck and the store owner can measure that with a tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler)
Would you like these pearls to be knotted so that if it breaks again you know you only have to look for one pearls rather than all of them
If you would like your pearls knotted the probability is your necklace will be 2 inches longer. Is this OK and if not, how long do you want the necklace.
If there are pearls left over because she is stringing to a specific length rather than using all, shall the stringer make you a pair of earrings out of them? Do you prefer gold or silver?
Because when I get a bag of pearls and a piece of broken string, I have to ask YOU all those questions so it would have been helpful for you to have thought to get that information and not freak out at me when I ask the questions I MUST ask in order to do the job.

My first major piece of jewelry. I sold it the first night I showed it.
I've been a professional Pearl Stringer for nearly 20 years. This strand of beautiful gold and silver baroque pearls and diamonds was a repair for The Cayen Colllection in Carmel, CA.
I would love to re-string or re-design your pearls!
