i just looked up the lyrics for REDRED and i was dying laughing.

then i actually looked and yk i get it. idk if ppl alr have talked about this or that its obvious what they mean, but wtv im still gonna talk about it.

REDRED is based on the traffic lights system. red red is bad / stop and green green is good / go! (see what i did there)

"Playing it safe (That's red, red)" is meant to say that playing safe or playing / coloring in the lines is redred / bad

saying they are going to show us how to be yourself and different

my favorite line is "Ears wobbling to and fro (That's red, red)" cause according to Genius lyircs it means: “fluttering ears.” refering to someone who is easily influenced or swayed by other people’s opinions. about being gullible or quick to believe others without much thought.

Being “팔랑귀” / "having fluttering ears" is seen as a negative trait because it leads to behavior like playing it safe or constantly adjusting yourself based on others’ views, rather than acting with confidence or independence.

what their saying is that adjusting who you are is bad for you and the people around you and the right thing to do is to be yourself, confident in who you are, but if you dont know how to, they will teach you.

in short: they are telling us to be ourselfs and not to change who we are for others.

Yall know the difference between Sean and Seonghyeon right??

Sean is from down town LA, likes the lime bikes, eats junk food and açai, tried surfing but likes skateboarding more, looks like he works at olive garden.

BEFORE I START!! THIS IS MY OPINION!! AND IT MIGHT CHANGE IN THE NEAR FUTURE

im not really sure about this at the moment so this part might change BUT!

"saw you in the pool" you as in core

and i go more into later on but the "pool" and "being cold" i think symbolizes being alone/lonely and ageing

so they saw us being alone or bored "thought we were going out for dinner" they thought that we were content with other groups

Maybe how much humiliation they had to go through? Or what I also talk more about later but maybe the embarrassing child like mistakes they did as trainees

i think what they mean by a new why is that the original reason for why the became idols isn't enough anymore to drive them or that its no good enough reason to do what they do.

is their motivation. they are getting burned out / tired from how hard the idol life is, because im sure they didn't expect to become so big so quickly, as seen in the Debut day video on their youtube.

but because they became so big and so loved so quickly they probably have to move faster than they trained / excepted / wanted.

omg im trying not to cry while writing this, cause all i can think about is their parents and sisters. how they must be so worried for them. again what keonhos mom said.

cause the were young. too young. martin has been a trainee since he was 11.

for me, thats the most vulnerable and important time of your childhood, its the time were you learn and discover and make mistakes. the last few years before becoming a real teenager, which is a whole other convo.

children make embarrassing mistakes and usually they can hide and reflect or run to someone trusted with that mistake and fix it

but since they've been out the house since what? 11, 12, 13, 14? and not to even mention james with the whole leaving ur home country ALONE.

they probably don't have the strongest relationships with their families because they just didn't have the time or the energy to.

so they force themselves to move on / run away from mistakes instead of reflecting on them, cause they probably don't know who to.

and i honestly get why their parents baby them so much (seen in the Going home on their youtube) sure cortis see themselves as grown, but their parents / siblings are robbed from the experience of seeing them grow too.

they know one of their appeals as a group is that they are young but everyone is a victim to ageing, "out the pool" or when they are older they know that the young creator crew title will no longer be theirs and their scared that when it happens we as core will be gone, cause everyone moves on eventually. that's just human nature.

they want us to stay with them cause theyve been cold = alone for too long

so what i think they are mean is:

they know that once they get out the pool = they're not young anymore and too burned out from their career and start to move slower, (as in it takes them longer to make music) people will lose interest in them cause they are not what they used to be / they lost that young creator crew appeal to them.

so they are asking us to at least stay with them for now. while their young and moving fast.

cause they were cold for so long = alone for so long

but now we as core are in the pool with them

some studies show that when your too stressed or too burned out for a long period of time, your nervous system has a harder time working.

i read a wellness article once said that going on a long hike when you've been stressed or burned out can actually cause more harm than good, because you're overworking your already overworked body and nervous system.

And it’s especially dumb when it’s cold cause a human body works slower in the cold to save energy but if your already burned out and stressed your just gonna get colder and colder cause all the blood is at the important organs trying to keep them alive
