With its flaky puff pastry crust, this pear walnut tart is a delicious mix of sweet pears, crunchy walnuts, and warm spices. You can eat it for dessert or with afternoon tea as a sweet treat.
Ingredients: 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed. 3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon cinnamon. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 2 tablespoons honey. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangular shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a bowl, toss the pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange the pear slices on the puff pastry, leaving a border around the edges. Sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly over the pears. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the pears and walnuts. Drizzle honey over the top of the tart. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg to create a golden crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Slice and serve the pear walnut tart warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
