39: Name one of your favorite childhood booksOh my good there are too many to pick one, I didn’t have friends as a kid, only books. I was OBSESSED with the Traces series by Malcolm Rose, and it was I think the first time I was burned by starting a series before all the books had been published. (And then I got hit with it again w the Alex Rider series, Artemis Fowl, and the Mediator series by Meg Cabot.) Also the MOLLY MOON books by Georgia Byng, omg, amazing books, would 100% read again. I also read The Akhenaten Adventure by PB Kerr at least like five times, also same w Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson. (I used to reread books a LOT, at least 4 times per book.)
I also read the His Dark Materials trilogy when I was pretty young - maybe aged 9? - and I remember being, like, super smug at my superior grown-up reading abilities bc I’d seen my parents read them. Also obv, like any self-respecting girl who grew up in the late 90s/early 00s, I devoured literally everything by Jacqueline Wilson.
