" The foul being that was the other had shown up in Gaia's domain, unannounced...yet again. Not even a divine being as high and distinguished as them was capable of dealing with the sin soaked menace for long. It was a miracle Gaia had endured his presence for longer than five minutes, though with each mocking word that left Etienne, the prospect of him leaving the Ancient's domain unscathed grew smaller and smaller.

that relationship headcanon meme from forever ago cause i’m an inconsistent lil shit. / accepting still cause why not.

80% their relationship is built upon mockery. just simple and plain mockery. mockery that you THINK would lead to an eventual fight / argument but seldom, if ever, does. making fun of the other and whatever situations they run into when interacting is an absolute must. it’s said if these two don’t spend majority of their time throwing insults and sharp remarks at one another the world will melt.

in truth though gaia does enjoy his company. utterly loathes and is disgusted by what he is and stands for ( after all gaia’s the first ever mama bear and he’s always making her children commit atrocities ) but finds his durability when it comes to their light teasing nice. gaia isn’t one to be rude to many but does at times enjoy those moments in which every piece of rage she holds within gets to be let free from verbally abusing the other. ’ harmless venting ’ as she calls it.

still wishes he’d at least knock or tell her he intends to bug her stop by instead of simply appearing within her domain unannounced. this action has probably yielded poor etienne being reduced to a soaking wet mess cause gaia decided to attack him with a hose more than once ( the ancient quite likes doing this to others frequently ). after their usual mock battles he’ll probably worm his way inside her house and she’ll deal with him. for only a little bit before kicking him out and maybe throwing whatever couch / chair he sat on cause ew, i don’t want anything touched by trash.

should he ever get the chance to stay at her place past midnight, specifically around 3am, chances are he’s gonna regret it cause 3am gaia isn’t regular gaia but rather an attention starved and very emotional gaia who’ll rant about how much they truthfully despise humanity but are unable to erase or intentionally harm them thanks to the memories of before they proved to be her undoing. he may or may not get to be used as the god’s personal tissue. her confessing such conflicting emotions, especially to him, cause a price and that will be one. the rest will be her attempting at seriously hurting him should he share her secret with anyone.

            ‘ don’t cling to me with those filthy hands of yours. ’ his tone was cold as he spoke to the smaller entity. he could still smell the scent of LUST and GREED floating his his room. the scent of the other’s toy. and he saw the other’s hand still covered in certain fluids, clinging onto his coat as if he had the right to. what audacity. the act and choice of place had disgusted him so far, but to actually feel the other touch him with hands like those, it made destruction lose his posture.
